With the trick or treating having been a success the night prior, Molehill and his small group of clanmates stood in front of the tunnels. The air was still, the sun had been set for a good while, and it was almost time for the second portion of his idea to begin. Earlier in the day he'd cleared out the tunnels, made sure everything would be safe for his clanmates, and had even dug a new passage way, though it lead to a dead end.
"Alright, you all know your roles. Remember this is meant to be scary, but if your clanmates need a break don't go too crazy," Molehill mewed, taking a look at the cats who stood around him dressed up and ready for the festivities. A shiver was sent down his spine at the thought of being jump scared by them, and he was glad that he wasn't technically required to join them in the tunnels tonight.
"Have fun and be safe! If anything happens down their, let me know immediately. I'll be sitting here at the entrance to welcome cats," he mewed with a firm nod before taking his place near the outside entrance of the tunnel system. Hopefully, his clanmates would all enjoy this idea of his.

I once was a man with dignity and grace
Thistledown was not sure just why he had agreed to this. Scaring other cats in the tunnels felt.... odd.
But Laurelriver had insisted that it would be fun. So now he stood next to her, draped in sticky cobwebs, with sticks poking out of his fur here and there. (He had even smeared rabbit's blood on his paws, just to get into the bit and make Laurelriver happy)
With Molehill's dismissal, they made their way into the tunnel, and he kept relatively close to where the calico she-cat had stayed. It was better to be with cats he knew and was comfortable with, after all.
Now I'm slippin' through the cracks of your cold embrace
Laurelriver was so excited to try and scare her clanmates.
She had found Molehill's idea really fun, and she hoped that she could scare them despite them knowing that it was her goal to scare them.
Laurelriver had ideas of dressing up, covering all the white spots of her fur with rabbit blood to both darken it enough to make her nearly invisible beforehand and horrifying when she pounced out of the shadows. It was certainly better than mud, which Laurelriver found absolutely icky and would never touch with a ten-foot pole.
"I can't wait to scare all the cats that come in," she mewed, grinning at Thistledown. He got even more into it, wearing sticks and cobwebs on his pelt to add to the terror. It helped that they were all in the Tunnels, a very dark area that was very wet and icky. Laurelriver didn't like stepping in puddles, but she knew that the splish splash would let them know when their first cats were coming.
