Breakfast Run

"Ready to go Waspswarm?" Stormwatcher asked his newly assigned patrolmate for the day. They were supposed to go hunting soon. The big tom gave a yawn and a stretch as he waited for his clanmate.

She was someone he didnt really know well at all yet but he was trying to make more meetings of his clanmates, with the ever pressure of his older sister Wolfstar telling him how he needed to socialize more.

The tomcat was large, bits of his pelt were wavy in the wind ungroomed in spots where it was harder to reach and it matched his energy of looking good enough to go on patrol but also like he had just rolled out of his nest a couple minutes ago, both could be true.


He wasn't super big into talking really and gave a flick of his tail to want this to get going, the sooner they caught the sooner they could maybe eat.

He led the way out of camp and into the thick forest of their trees, with any luck squirrels would be around here somewhere.

Waspswarm joined Stormwatcher by the entrance of the camp. It was just the two of them- not all unusual for a simple hunting patrol. Standing next to the other warrior, Waspswarm felt small. The female warrior herself never quite filled out to what seemed to be SkyClan standard. She was not massive, bulky, with long and silky fur. Instead, she reached a slightly above average height and was much more slender and sleek. That is not to say she was not muscular. The young warrior had developed her own work out routine and had built up an impressive mass of hard muscles, particularly on her hind legs, that showed clearly through her shorter fur.

Nodding, the new warrior followed the tom and studied him carefully from the corner of her eye. "Your fur is unruly." She said with a playful tone. "In quite a rush to spend time with me, I see. I didn't know I was that impressive to catch your eye so easily, but I'll accept the compliment." Waspswarm shot the other warrior a smirk and a playful glance.

Stormwatcher's understanding of emotions, especially that of his own emotions was about as on par as a goldfish's emotional intelligence. He blinked at the younger warriors flirting and stood there not even sure what to do with that. Finally blinking a bit he gruffly ran a paw through his 'unruly' fur.

"Wolfstar said I needed more friends" he grumbled and gave a shrug. He wasn't one to let any clanmate know he cared for them even though he did indeed care a lot more now.

With a big stretch and yawn he caught up to her and glanced around for food, he for one was very hungry and food was almost always on his mind anyways.

"So erm... you like being warrior so far?" he meowed, small talk was really never his area but he supposed he could try.

He wondered if Waspswarm felt the same way he and Stoneheart felt about the stars and their trickery but wasn't so sure as to bring that up right now, he mainly just wanted to eat and then go take a nap.

Waspswarm raised an eyebrow at his comment about Wolfstar, withholding a chuckle. The tom was awkward and fumbling. Charming, really. It could be like a project. Quickly scanning the warrior, she noticed he was built like a bolder. Waspswarm herself was more lean and muscular, allowing her to be agile. Developing fighting techniques with her clanmates that compliment her own had been on her mind recently.

"Funny, Wolfstar told me the same thing." She said with a chipper tone as the tom scanned the forest. Cocking her head at his follow up question, Waspswarm shrugged before padding on. "It's alright. It's pretty freeing, honestly. Wolfstar was a tough mentor, and despite me being better off for it, being a warrior leaves me time to work on my exercises more frequently. I always try to get through my hunting for the day as quick as possible to work on fighting stuff alone. Technique and strategy development, mostly. You?" She glanced up to the tom once more. If she recalled correctly, he was a relatively outspoken warrior.

'Let the dead be dead' if she recalled correctly.
