The tunnels were not Cloudjumper's favorite thing about Windclan territory by far, but they were a good place to find prey. Sharp eyes had caught a flicker of movement in one of the openings that dotted Windclan's territory, and the lithe calico had dropped into a crouch, hoping to not be spotted as a hare warily peeked outside.
The hare slowly crept from the hole it had been in, and Cloudjumper waited. She wasn't skill enough to (or brave enough, perhaps) to go into the tunnels after the hare if it decided to make a beeline for it, but once the little bugger got a bit farther from the tunnel, the warrior was ready. Cloudjumper darted forward, tackling the hare to the ground as her fangs caught the creature by the throat before it could squeal. It kicked wildly, but one bite was all it took for the creature to lay still at her paws. Pleased with her catch, Cloudjumper buried the prey and turned, eyes surveying the rolling moors.
Cloudjumper attempted to catch a hare for -2 ep. Catch successful.
Laurelriver spotted Cloudjumper patrolling one of the tunnel entrances. Perhaps Laurelriver should try doing the same, but the tunnels themselves piqued her interest. Maybe it was dumb to try to hunt there, but she knew that the tunnels were teeming with prey, so Laurelriver jumped down to catch something.
The calico she-cat searched for something nearby. Spotting what looked like a lizard scurrying in the darkness, Laurelriver began to stalk it. It was different trying to hunt non-rabbits - it would be hard to catch something so small in an all-out chase, and a lizard could hide even easier than a rabbit could - so Laurelriver had to go for a pounce.
Grabbing the lizard under her paws, the calico she-cat nipped it at its neck. To be honest, she didn't know if anyone even wanted to eat this lizard (she certainly didn't think biting into scales was that appetizing), but perhaps someone who was tired of rabbit and wanted something different would try it. Climbing up the tunnels, she nodded at her clanmate, holding her scaly catch before quickly burying it.
Laurelriver attempted to catch a lizard, costing 2 EP. Hunt was successful!

Oatfluff hadn't hunted in the tunnels much before, but he was happy to join the younger cats on this patrol. He hadn't been hunting much lately, too busy with other duties, but he was always happy to go out on the territory. His ears pricked as he listened for any smaller creatures nearby. Something was scurrying around in one of the branching tunnels, and it sounded distinctly rodent-like. Mice were a rare find on WindClan territory, but maybe he could catch one for Hemlockfox! Er, SkyClan cats ate mice, right? Nevertheless...
Oatfluff stalked toward the sound, keeping his pawsteps light and his ears pricked. The mouse didn't seem to know he was there - perfect. As he stalked his quarry, his thoughts began to drift to Hemlockfox. Maybe he should catch him a bird, one of these days. That would be a nice surprise, right? So distracted was Oatfluff in thinking about the tom that when he scented the air next, he couldn't taste the rodent's scent anymore. His ears strained, but it seemed the mouse was... gone.
Oops.
Oatfluff tried to catch a mouse . . . and failed!
