After sending a warrior to find Falconmoon, and a brief discussion, Wolfstar stepped out of her den with Nightbird and the loner Mutiny in tow. With a single bound she stood atop the tallbranch, gazing down at her clan. The sun was beginning to sink below the tops of the trees, leaving the camp bathed in long shadows. The air had cooled, and the night was pleasant. It would stay that way, no matter how some of her clanmates might feel about the newest addition to Skyclan's camp. If this went well, if Mutiny wasn't scared off by the large clan, perhaps Skyclan would gain another set of claws as well as family.
"Skyclan! Gather below the tallbranch for a meeting!"
Firepaw emerged from the apprentice's den, yellow eyes hard. He'd grown quiet in the past few moons but most especially after his best friend, Blazepaw's death. They'd done everything together - they'd been near inseparable since birth and now that he was gone, it was like a part of Firepaw was missing. Everywhere he went, he expected to see his friend's cheerful face and sunny attitude. The dogs, though dead, had taken much from him and all of SkyClan. So, he was dedicated to being a warrior Sunfire would've been proud of. A warrior so strong that no harm would come to his loved ones again. Blazepaw had died on his watch - because of him.
The tortoiseshell stared up at Wolfstar impassively. Never again. He remembered the day they spoke in her den like it was yesterday. She trusted him to grow into a warrior that could defend Skyclan with his life and he wouldn't let her down. Though, as his gaze trailed down to the ground beneath Wolfstar, he stiffened. The young she-cat standing there beside Nightbird was unfamiliar in both appearance and scent. She didn't smell like any of the other clans so, naturally, she must be a loner. The thought made Firepaw's lip curl with distrust.
Regardless, he stayed silent as the rest of the clan gathered, his eyes glued to the she-cat. Was she a threat? What did her arrival have to do with Nightbird? Wolfstar would make everything clear soon but, for now, he'd keep his guard up. So few of his kin still remained and even fewer that he was close with - SkyClan...he couldn't afford to lose anyone else. He'd be careful, though, and wouldn't act unless Wolfstar's next words forced him to.

- Ospreypaw -
Ospreypaw squeezed between two clanamtes near the front of the crowd so she could get a look at the newcomer. She stared unabashedly for a moment before her head dipped in a welcoming greeting. Any cat could put two and two together that this rogue –judging by her scent– must be the cause of the summons. The apprentice wanted to ask her name, and about a million other things, but surely Wolfstar would address the clan’s questioning gazes in a moment. The stranger seemed unassuming for being the source of so much mystery. Other cats stood on edge and Ospreypaw’s ears stood forward as well, but from curiosity rather than nerves. She trusted Wolfstar’s judgment not to let danger into their camp, not after the dogs had terrorized it so recently. Hopefully the stranger would not judge them for any leftover wreckage from the attack, nor the holes left in their ranks where friends and kin once stood. She prayed Wolfstar’s explanation would be a happy one. Starclan must know the clan needed something good after losing so much.
