| The sky stretched to oblivion, an endless plain of wind-tossed grass broken only by thorny bushes with a cloyingly sweet scent clinging to their yellow flowers. That howling wind buffeted his ears, whistling through the teeth embedded in his right, and tousled his pelt in all the wrong ways, tugging cold fingers at the stark lines of healed wounds that hadn't yet faded to invisible scars beneath his fur.
Flitting briefly over the hillside, the shadow of a cloud briefly blotted out the bright afternoon sunlight, blending better with his pelt, closing in the starkly endless fields to a more comfortable shroud. The slight stiffness to his muscles eased with it, prowling more smoothly forward, the scents of prey mingling with flowers and grass touching his tongue.
I'm sure they won't mind one of these going astray....
He leapt forward, and a flash of soft brown startled, ironically too slow to get its feet beneath it. His claws caught in its pelt, his fangs snapping into its neck. The sweet rush of blood filled his mouth, stinging his taste-buds, and he savoured it for a moment, feeling the life twitch out of its warm body with barely a choked squeak.
Sitting back, he swiped his tongue over his jaws, a shivering flicker twitching his tail. Hunting rabbits was always so fun.... A grin bared his teeth briefly as he inhaled the scent of blood — so much... wilder than the lazy, feral ones in the city and suburbs. Somehow better even than the fat ones kept by the twolegs. Even worth wandering over this forsaken patch of grass. ______________________________________

"Just what do you think you're doing?" A furious but restrained voice rang through the moor. Leopardpaw stepped forward, paws trembling with rage at the audacity of this flea-bag to be hunting in WindClan territory in broad daylight and eat said catch in the same land. These lawless loners didn't belong on the land gifted to them by their ancestors, and it was his duty as an apprentice of the best Clan to uphold the Code and chase this crow-food-eating menace out of his homeland. The black tom squared his shoulders, glaring down at this rogue with the scariest expression he could muster. "This is WindClan's territory! Leave at once, and never return! You've caused enough harm by stealing our food; the next time you step here, we'll make sure you leave with one less eye!" He finished his declaration by spitting into the rogue's face, and unsheathing his claws, as if to emphasize his threat. ______________________________________ |

| A young, furious voice carried over the hill to his ears. Hm, another one of these mysterious Clan cats? Languidly, he turned to regard it, raking over the black pelt with intrigue in his chartreuse eyes, a twinkle of dark amusement shifting in their depths.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware this land was taken, little kitten." That same amusement lurked in his voice, snidely mocking this young fireball. The blood of the rabbit still sang on his tongue, the scent of it thick in his nostrils as the other came up and spat in his face. Had a good snarl going there, didn't he? Maybe if he worked on it some more he could look as worked-up as Larkspur in a hissy fit. Briefly, he imagined a little splash of white and cream in the black fur — taller, bulkier, and fluffier.
He smiled back in that angry face, a hint of sharp teeth glinting. "Stealing? Are you accusing me of something?"
In a flash, his claws flicked out, just under the chin at the softer flesh there, a glitter dancing in his pupils. "Because as far as I'm aware, this rabbit's mine."
Jaculus used "Claw", dealing 6 damage and using 5EP!

The first hit was all it took to send him reeling. Leopardpaw took several steps back, fur bristling with rage. He could feel the small trickle of blood run down his neck where the rogue had clawed at him. This rogue really did have a lot of nerve... entering Clan territory, stealing prey, and now attacking a member of the Clan? Leopardpaw wasn't about to let this rogue get away with this. "I very much am accusing you of theft, and now to add to your list of crimes, assault. You'll pay for this, flea-bag!" Leopardpaw spat in the rogue's face, hurling himself forward to shove the tresspasser into the ground. Leopardpaw used Leap and Hold, dealing 5dmg at the cost of 15EP
