Wiggleworm rolled onto his back, soaking up the newleaf sun with a content purr. Life in ThunderClan had been pretty peaceful since the battle between them and SkyClan and he was hoping it would stay that way for a good long while. They had suffered in the wake of Mottlestar's death, but Acornstar had proven to be capable - he was sure she'd take good care of them. Not only that, but the nursery was packed with kits. It meant a whole lot more mouths to feed, but during a prosperous time like this, he didn't mind in the slightest.

Especially since some of the kits were his own nieces and nephews. It was odd to have kin in ThunderClan beyond his own littermates, but not unwelcome. Six more of them - six feral blooded kits. The thought made Wiggleworm's heart warm. Then, as he rolled around under the sunlight, his thoughts drifted to similar yet entirely unrelated topics. They wouldn't be quite as large and different as him, but his own kits would have some feral blood as well. They would be great warriors, hopefully better ones than him, and absolutely perfect in every way.

He could just imagine little versions of him and Silverdusk running around his paws, their- wait...Silverdusk? Heat bloomed across Wiggleworm's face and he rolled onto his belly before pressing his muzzle into his paws with a groan. Great Gekala, what was he thinking? He and Silverdusk weren't even mates! Not yet anyway or possibly not ever...actually. The spotted warrior squeezed his eyes shut at the thought, oblivious to the sound of tiny pawsteps approaching.

Adderkit was absolutely bored. She had gotten some time away from her littermates, but she was finding that she didn't know what to do with that time.

That was, until she spotted her uncle.

Immediately, Adderkit began to bound up to the large tom, a smile on her face. "Uncle Wiggleworm! Can I have one of your badger rides?"

It was one of the few times that Adderkit didn't mind being touched, so long as it was on her own terms. Being on her uncle's back as he ran around the camp was always so much fun. She would do it all day if she could!

Wiggleworm started as a small, yet loud voice echoed close to his ear and lifted his head suddenly, his dark eyes wide with shock. Great Gekala! Who was making all of that racket so- oh, it was Adderkit! A welcoming grin broke out on the massive tom's face and he found his paws, tail lashing excitably. "Ohhh, you want a badger ride, eh? You sure you can handle it? I think the badger's feeling reaalllyy hungry today!" Low to the ground, Wiggleworm flexed his shoulders, rolling them. He was a bit stiff from laying around, but nothing some exercise wouldn't fix!

Adderkit was a feisty little thing, but he adored her all the same. She almost reminded him of a lot of himself just more...opinionated. Not that he could blame her! It had to be hard being heard with so many littermates around! Well, that wouldn't be an issue today! She would have his full, undivided attention for as long as she wanted it.

Adderkit's eyes lit up as Wiggleworm spoke. "Yes yes yes! I want the badger ride! I can handle it! Let's do it!" She began to jump up and down in her excitement, ready to go, before climbing up onto her uncle's back.

"Onwards! Let's go!" The kit broke into a wide grin as she clung onto Wiggleworm's back, watching the Clan below her. This was time that she got, and her littermates couldn't have any of it!

A bright grin spread across the spotted warrior's face as a warm laugh bubbled up from his chest. Adderkit was just the cutest! She was a bit much, like he was when he was a kit, but there was a certain charm to her boundless enthusiasm. Perhaps that same charm was what had kept him out of trouble during his first six moons of life. Tiny, needle sharp claws pricked his skin as the young kit clambered onto his back and Wiggleworm rolled his shoulders before standing up.

The delicate scars along his back itched uncomfortably at her presence between his shoulders, but he ignored the sensation and took a thundering step forward. "Uh oh, better hold on tight!" He purred before he threw his weight to the side and began lumbering across the clearing. He'd never gotten badger rides as a kit, but they certainly seemed fun. Then, with a playful smirk, Wiggleworm turned towards the nursery. "Someone's gotta stop this badger!"

Adderkit let out little, delighted squeals as Wiggleworm made his way towards the nursery. Laughter filled the air as she clung on to her uncle's back, absolutely delighted to have this moment with him.

And the best part? This moment was all hers. No Bearkit trying to be the strongest warrior. None of Lakekit's clumsiness, or Blackkit's bossiness. Just Adderkit and her uncle Wiggleworm.

On top of Wiggleworm's back, Adderkit felt as if she was on top of the world.

"Faster! Faster!"
