Good. Just the cat she wanted to see. Nightdancer was in camp, and Sageroot wasn’t busy at the moment!
“Hey, what’s up?” she mewed. “Wanna spar? I mean, if you have the time. This isn’t an order or anything. I’m asking as a friend not as deputy. Ugh, this is awkward.”

The deputy's awkward approach made the older warrior laugh; a soft sound that she tried to suppress but couldn't quite keep down. She hoped it wouldn't be taken as cruel; she was simply amused by it. "Yes, spar," she spoke in the tongue she had learned from Vinecrawler; trying to practice where she could. Then, in her native forest tongue: "Yes, of course. I've always enjoyed sparring."

“Ready?” Sageroot mewed, then chuckled as she caught herself slipping into the feral tongue as her friend used it. Pausing for a brief moment, she sprang onto Nightdancer.

Sageroot used Jumping Strike, dealing 13 damage (first attack) and costing 7 stamina.
