melting [C]

Something had been bothering Icekit for a little while. It wasn't like her to open up about things, but...she had a suspicion about something, and she wanted her father's advice. The day of her and her siblings' apprentice ceremonies was rapidly approaching, and she didn't want anything to hinder her progress.

When Mintglade was tending to her siblings, Icekit sat at the entrance to the nursery and kept an eye out for her father. After what seemed like ages, the golden pelt of her father caught her mismatched eyes. Boldly, she bounded over to him, ignoring the other warrior he was with; he must have just come back from a hunting patrol or something.

"Dad!" Icekit cried, skidding to a stop in front of him. Her face was drawn into a serious expression, her brows furrowed. The other warrior said something, but the sound blended with the other noises of camp and she paid it no mind.

"Dad, Daddy, I need to talk to you about something. In private, please." She sat down right in his path and lashed her tail; he could easily step around her, but if he knew anything about his kits, it would be wise to do as she said.
