Lavenderpaw was different from other apprentices. Since a young age, the other tom had lacked the ability to use his hindlegs, something that was very new to another one of their clanmates. Today, the apprentice was going to be helping him out with various tasks around the medicine cat's den. It was sorely needed and Littlesplash hoped their time together could help bring some comfort to the other cat. Perchstar believed in their clanmate, and so did he. Offering the gray-furred tom a smile, he began explaining what they needed without much of a formal greeting, "There are plenty of cob nuts to be crushed, and roots to be washed. Are you up for the challenge, Lavenderpaw? I can give you plenty more to do if you get bored as well. Perchstar said you're a great help." He didn't know what else to say and simply passed the apprentice a clump of comfrey roots. They were still covered in dirt, plenty of it. One of the many perks of having the river so close by was being able to keep his herbs cleaned. Turning away slightly, the medicine cat continued preparing any herb bundles that he could, just to have them on hand. Recent herb hunting endeavors had been fruitful, always giving him more to do.
