Lilyvalley Warrior | ShadowClan | she/her
"If we did what was easy, then there wouldn't be anything to live for."
Lilyvalley walked alongside her older sister as they made their way to the Carrionplace. It was funny, the last time she had been here, it had been as a rogue, desperate for food for herself and her kit. Swiftheart had been the one to find her then.
Now here the pair was, and once again it was in search of potential intruders. She had to remind herself that she would be on the other side of the potential altercation this time. This was her home, and it was something for her to defend.
But at the same time, part of her hoped they didn't find the trespassers, not that she would say that out loud. It wasn't like when she had first been in the Clan. It would have been easy to look down upon those not born in the Clan. But now, Lilyvalley knew what it meant to fight to survive, and have to do so on her own. And maybe a part of her felt bad for the others. Even still, she knew she had had it easy. Despite her trial, she knew she had practically been welcomed back into the Clan with open paws. At least, from the cats that had known her before. Other rogues wouldn't have such a welcome.
But still, she was a Clan cat. And even if she felt bad for other outsiders, she also knew how cruel some of them could be. They were the reasons borders needed to be enforced. It was for the Clan's safety.
Then again, even if they do find a cat, there would be no guarantee for a fight. They could talk, and if the cat was a good cat, maybe they would leave on their own. And if they weren't a good cat.... well then Lilyvalley wouldn't feel too bad about the battle that would come.
She would let that single optimistic thought guide her forward.
