Dewpaw's Border Patrol Training & Morning Patrol

Lionstar yawned, padding out of his den. It was dawn.

He poked his head in the apprentices' den, nosing Dewpaw gently. "Border patrol." He murmured, disappearing back out.

"Mkay." Dewpaw mumbled, sleepily leaving the den and smoothing her fur down. Glancing around, she realized that the sun wasn't up. "Ugh, it's so dark!"

OOC: is it technically leaf-fall?

ooc: I'm not sure. This site doesn't keep track of seasons.

ic: Lionstar looked over. "It's early in the morning. We are going on the Dawn Patrol." He meowed calmly.

"Oooh, that explains it. Where are we gonna go?"

OOC: I think it turned Fall a few days ago or so... so I think it would be.

"The Thunderpath, Sunningrocks, and the Fallen Oak. Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yup!" Suddenly not tired anymore, Dewpaw padded after her mentor.

Soon, they arrived at large rocks, glowing in the sunshine. They gave off a fishy smell.

"This is SunningRocks, and as you can probably smell, Riverclan owns them at the moment." He explained, then bent down into a whisper. "But we'll get them back eventually. Remember this scent."

Nodding, she opened her mouth and drank in the scent- watery with the tang of salt.

Next they arrived at the Fallen Oak. "We border Skyclan here. See that oak tree? That marks the border. Don't cross here without permission." he meowed.

"Alright. Some of the warriors tell me they're alot like us. Is it true? The woods around here do look very similar." She asked, curious as usual, after giving the tree a good sniff to catch SkyClan's scent.

Lionstar wondered who told the apprentice that. "Er...In a way, yes. But they are still our rivals, and never to be taken lightly." He meowed, moving on.

"Oh, ok. Where to next?" Dewpaw wondered if she had said something wrong, but decided to forget about it and followed Lionstar.

Before he could respond, a wave of gruddy, thick-smelling smoky smells enveloped his nostrils. "The Thunderpath. What ever you do, do not get close to it. Monsters tend to roll on it, and if one just so much as hits you as it runs, you are dead." He growled quietly.

Her lip curled as the scent wafted over her open mouth, causing her to give a look of disgust and close her mouth. Dewpaw asked, "What is it that makes this horrible smell? It's so gross!"

"The Thunderpath monsters. They give off this stench, and sine they cross the Thunderpath so much, it leaves the scent all over it. The Thunderpath is actually the border with Shadowclan. Windclan borders the Thunderpath just a bit, too." Lionstar explained.
