One Cat, Two Cat, Three Cat - Wait That's Not a Cat (Closed)

The cool morning breeze pushed its way into the warrior’s den bringing with it hints of fresh new life. New-Leaf was basically here, and the days were warm and inviting. Myrtlebloom peeked her eyes open, the sun was just coming over the horizon and a ray of sunlight hit her eyes. She shook her head and looked over at Yewshade’s nest. The tabby tom was tucked in tightly and a slight snore came from his nest. Myrtlebloom got up and stretched, before walking over to her brother and smacking him on the head. “Wake up sleepy slug!” She mewed while pushing his shoulder with her paw.

The other warriors started to stir and Myrtlebloom growled. She wanted to get out of camp before she had to weave through the other cats. It had been a half-moon since her run in with the fox and she wanted to go be useful again. Her plan was to do some border patrol with her brother and maybe play around the creek a bit. She turned her attention back to Yewshade as he started to stir. Her paw was still firmly placed on his shoulder, but she moved it as he woke up. "Bout time!"

Yewshade stirred in his nest - finding himself roaming through the lush undergrowth of a forest. There was a distant sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs. But, before he could investigate... Smack! He groaned loudly as Myrtlebloom's paws met his head, and he shifted away. When he realized she wasn't going to leave him alone, he reluctantly opened his eyes. He was greeted with the soft glow of dawn filtering through the den entrance... And a really upset sister staring down at him. She was comically scowling. She looks like a frog when she does that.

"Alright! Alright... I'm up," He laughed, pushing himself to his paws - exiting the den. He gave his chest fur a quick groom to chase any lingering sleepiness. If it wasn't for his sister, he could've slept an entire moon. "Oh great Myrtlestar, what do you need me for?"

Myrtlebloom snickered at her brother’s remark and decided to play along. “Well beloved Deputy, Yewshade, I figured we would go patrol out borders and make sure there are no stinky intruders lurking on our territory!” She said seriously with her head and tail held high, before breaking out in laughter. “In seriousness, we’re going to do a brief border patrol and then waste away the rest of the day!” Her eyes glimmered as she flicked her tail across her brother’s back.

The duo quickly made their way out of camp and headed for the corner of the border where Skyclan meets Thunderclan. They were going to check all the way down to the creek, where they would spend the rest of the day. Myrtlebloom padded alongside Yewshade, “Do you think we will find anything interesting today?”

They were just getting to the border when a flash of orange darted out of Thunderclan territory and into Skyclan territory. “Yewshade, did you see that?!” Her hair stood on end, she couldn’t tell if it was a cat or not and the smell of Thunderclan was strong, but she wasn’t sure if it was because they were so close to the border.

Myrtlebloom forced her paws forward to chase the orange blur. She caught up to it just to discover it was a fox not a cat! A growl rumbled in her chest, ‘Not again!’ She dropped in a defensive stance and looked at her brother. She refused to fail again and put him at risk. She sprung forward with rage burning her pelt like the warm spring sun. Her claws sank into the fox’s flesh …

Myrtlebloom used Jumping Strike for -11 HP (8+3 for first attack) and -7 SP

The fox snapped at Myrtlebloom, catching her back leg in its jaws. It shook her claws loose of its flesh and flung her a short distance away.

The Fox used Thrash for -10 HP and -15 SP Myrtlebloom is stunned

Myrtlebloom answered her question instantly - they were going to find something interesting. Yewshade's heart pounded with fury as he witnessed her confront the fox. What a mousebrain! "No!" He yowled as it caught her back leg in its jaws.

His instincts were urging him to leap in between them and fight the fox by himself. Without hesitation, he lunged forward with claws unsheathed. He had to protect his sister at all costs. He jumped directly on the fox, desperate to pin it to the ground.

[color=#993366][b A shriek rang through the forest when the fox clamped down on Myrtlebloom’s leg and was followed shortly by a loud thump on the ground. She lay heaving for a short while trying to catch her breath. ‘Stars I hate foxes!’ She growled as she stood up and shook the dirt from her pelt. Her heart almost stopped when she saw Yewshade lunge at the flaming orange monster.

Her brother had the animal pinned to the ground, and it was desperately fighting to get up. She dashed over and clamped her teeth to its flank. The fox cried out in pain and Myrtlebloom released her grip to jump back.

Myrtlebloom used Random Recall and Snap for a total of -12sp and -8hp

The fox twisted and dug its back claws into the earth, trying to knock the sturdy tom off of it, when sharp fangs sank into its flanks, making its back legs slip out from underneath them. Drool seeped out of the vicious creature’s mouth while it panted from the work out these cats were giving it.

(Let me know if I did this wrong, I haven’t roleplayed a pinned predator but from my understanding this should be right)
