Good Timezone, WCC!
As part of our ongoing reconstruction process, we've had to take a look first and foremost at our current team structure. After much deliberation, we have decided that it is time to sunset the mini-mod role. The role was created at a time in which staff needed a helping hand in managing the day-to-day actions of the site, and as we evaluate how we are functioning as a core staff team, we have decided that sunsetting this role will allow us to best gauge how we are truly functioning as a team. Another big responsibility of the mini-mod role was assisting in sitewide-related functions, and given that we've put a temporary pause on staff-hosted sitewides... unfortunately, it meant that there wasn't much left for our mini-mods to do.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our two current mini-mods, Ash and kjSage! They've been extremely helpful in ensuring creations and allegiances get approved and updated on time, answering questions in the Discord, and assisting in other pop-up items!
As for what we are going to be doing as part of sunsetting this role, our number one priority will be assessing how we function as a team without their assistance. Part of our restructuring includes looking at the number of individuals that we have on the team. At the time of this announcement, we're only a team of four, when traditionally we are a team of five. We're taking this into account as we assess things, but it's going to be an ongoing assessment!
While the mini-mod role will be going away for now, that doesn't mean it is 100%-absolutely-gone-for-good! We've learned a lot in having the mini-mods on our team, and are super thankful for their assistance. We're not going to turn a blind eye to it if we determine we need the help once more!
A massive thank you to both Ash and kjSage for all they have done for the site in this role, and stay tuned--there will be more site updates to come in the near future!
