Labored breathing and staggering pawsteps preceded the arrival of Hemlockfox and Tigerstar and, even if a cat hadn't heard that, they surely would have noticed the heavy scent of blood in the air. WindClan's leader had done a fine job guiding him to the camp, and now, after the long trek, seemed to have grown even weaker. The fluffy tom's heart clenched at Tigerstar's shallow breathing, and he glanced down at the deep gashes where the twoleg trap had clamped down on his leg. From what he'd gathered, Daisyfang wouldn't be able to help them, but he could only hope she'd left behind enough herbs for them to get by.
With a grunt, Hemlockfox helped Tigerstar down into the hollow and looked around, fur bristling at all of the unfamiliar cats that surrounded them. The clearing was packed with WindClanners, but Hemlockfox didn't pause to look around. With his tail high, he settled a look on the nearest cat, his blue eyes cold and serious. Tigerstar was, most likely, not in any condition to be answering questions, so, with a flick of his tail towards the striped tom resting against him, he quickly explained the situation. "I found your leader stuck in a twoleg trap. He was lucky I was there to get him out, but he still requires immediate attention. Where's your medicine den?"
Despite being phrased as a question; his words came out as more of a demand than anything else. However, as he briefly scanned the cats, it was clear that there was some sort of tension in the air. Hemlockfox withheld a snort. Well, with whatever had happened to Daisyfang, their only medicine cat, he could imagine things had been a little rough around here. Though, he still didn't know if she was ill, missing, or simply dead. The latter of the three would, at the very least, make his potential transition to the clan a little less awkward.

As if there wasn't enough going on, the sudden scent of SkyClan blew in on the breeze, close... way too close for a clan they didn't share a border with. Fur spiking with alarm, Minkshadow turned in the direction the scent led, only to see a brown and white tom she didn't know - but maybe recognized - helping Tigerstar down into the hollow. Gray eyes widening, the red tabby surged forward towards her father and the stranger, eyes wide. If she knew anything about some of her clanmates, a non-WindClan cat suddenly barging into their camp, while both Tigerstar and Sootstorm were injured, wasn't likely to remain a peaceful affair, regardless of circumstance.
Before she could open her mouth to ask, the tom brashly snapped out an explanation and then a query. Minkshadow nodded in understanding, moving to stand on the other side of Tigerstar and help support him in case he needed it. She brushed her shoulder against his, looking between them both just once before jerking her head towards the medicine den. "It's this way," she said, leading the way. "But we don't..." she hesitated a moment before correcting herself. "Our medicine cat isn't here." Minkshadow wasn't sure why this SkyClanner had helped Tigerstar, and she was thankful he had, but Daisyfang was missing, and there was no one else who knew herbs the same way she had.
She snuck a glance at the stranger again, trying to remember where she'd seen him. It came to her suddenly - the pointed tom sitting with the other medicine cats, the same irritated look on his face that Minkshadow saw, now. "You're SkyClan's medicine cat," she stated. She didn't remember his name, but the relief that flooded through her at the knowledge was more than welcome. "Our deputy, Sootstorm, he's sick, too. I know it's a lot to ask, but-" she hesitated, flicking her ears. "We would be very grateful for your assistance. And I'll get you anything you need, if it's in my power to do so."

All Hail WindClan's Resident Libra
pantherpounce
I don't live because I can't die, but I'm chained to something.
Pantherpounce was only able to fix Tigerstar and the stranger with a blank stare as they padded into camp. This day was growing increasingly unpleasant. First Sootstorm’s incident, and now Tigerstar’s to add insult to injury. Daisyfang had fallen off the face of the earth and WindClan had no formal medicine cat now to deal with these two. Pantherpounce wasn’t a worrier. He allowed time to do its thing and remained in the present, but it was difficult at times like this.
He padded forward alongside Minkshadow before breathing in the newcomer’s scent: SkyClan. He recognized it vaguely from the times he had smelled them at the Gathering. SkyClan lived all the way on the other side of the forest, and Pantherpounce wasn’t too pleased to see a stranger in the heart of WindClan, but he allowed his muscles to relax regardless. This unnamed tom had helped Tigerstar, his mentor, and for that he was grateful. When Minkshadow recognized the other cat as a medicine cat, the warrior’s ears perked up slightly. That was exactly what they needed at a time like pop. Medicine cats were supposed to be peaceful or something, right? Then again, based on what he’d heard about SkyClan, he wasn’t exactly sure what to expect.
Strong yellow eyes met sharp blue as Pantherpounce studied the medicine cat for a moment and gave him a stare, almost silently daring him to deny Minkshadow’s request. Still, the large tom’s expression betrayed nothing but his typical intense solemnness. He said nothing and decided to let his fellow warrior do the talking.. for now.

As soon as they made it to camp, Tigerstar felt himself relax slightly. The exhaustion wanting to take hold of his body but not yet, just a couple more steps. As soon as Hemlock Fox helped him to the ground, the tom let out a very heavy sigh. He knew he had to stay awake but it was hard, even as others moved around, it was hard to keep track of them. All he could do now was wait.

OATFLUFFare you going to age with grace? he/him - t1 windclan warrior
Oatfluff looked up from his rabbit as a horrible, metallic tang filled the air. The unmistakeable sound of staggering, some cat limping toward camp, reached his ears and sprung him to his paws. Minkshadow was there first, then Pantherpounce, and Oatfluff brought up the rear as SkyClan scent threatened to smother him. Who's here? As he tasted the air, a familiar scent began to manifest beside it - Tigerstar? He thought the tom had been out on a hunt or something. But as he neared, he noticed Tigerstar's leg covered in blood, nearly torn off by something wretched. Were those the jaws of a predator, or...? Oatfluff stopped short as the strange SkyClan tom began to speak.
But he looked so familiar. Strange, sure, but Oatfluff did a double take. Those bright blue eyes, those broad shoulders, that distinct coloring and unamused gaze... Bearpaw? He'd met him at a Gathering forever ago - before the wolves or the move back to familiar territory. He hadn't been super receptive to Oatfluff's offer of friendship. But Oatfluff never forgot a face. The mottled tom forgot about his leader, moving closer to the medicine cat apprentice - well, it seemed he was a medicine cat now, if he himself had since become a warrior - and sniffing the air beside him. His face broke into a grin, his brown eyes glowing in recognition as he proved himself right. This was Bearpaw! Or...whatever his name was now. Oatfluff looked up at him with wide, friendly eyes, happy to know he was safe after the wolf attack.
But as he opened his jaws, Minkshadow beat him to it, breaking the awkward silence with a diplomatic meow. That's right. How could have he forgotten about his own Clan in his excitement? Sootstorm was sick, Daisyfang was missing, and now Tigerstar... now Tigerstar had been mauled by some Twoleg 'trap'. Oatfluff rushed toward his leader, leaving the SkyClanner and his Clanmates to their tense words. "Tigerstar? By StarClan! Are you okay?" He sniffed the striped tom's injuries, wincing as he examined the warrior's wounds. He didn't know anything about this kind of stuff, but it looked bad. Bearpaw...er, Bear's grim expression made his heart sink with anxiety. Was Tigerstar dying. "Is he okay?" Oatfluff interrupted, unable to keep his maw quiet. He gazed up at the broad medicine cat, his eyes glimmering with worry. He'd make friends later. This was, for once, more important.

Spiderkit
I feel like a pet store parrot, ever spouting words
Spiderkit had lost count of how many laps he had run around camp, batting around a tattered moss ball barely hanging onto life. Sometimes he would briefly pause, distracted by a warrior going about their business, but he would quickly return to fluttering around camp like a frantic bird.
Then a strange scent hit his nose. Heavy, metallic, and horribly wrong. He turned his head towards the entrance of the hollow, unconsciously mimicking others around him as the smell of blood and Skyclan tore their attention away from their tasks. Spiderkit tilted his head at the sight of a stranger ... joined by a very injured Tigerstar. What had happened?! Were they attacked? Was there an accident?
The gangly tom bounced over, for once having the insight not to get in the way of cats' paws. "Can I help? I can help! Tigerstar looks real hurt." He didn't really know how he would help yet, but he would figure something out. Tigerstar looked real tired and his paw looked... bad was the only word that came to mind. The wound looked bad, all the blood was bad, just all of it was bad. All bad things could be fixed though! He just... needed someone to tell him how. This looked a bit too important for him to just guess his way through like he normally would.

Larchpaw had been pretty sure of himself when he offered assistance to the nice medicine cat, but by the time they stumbled back into camp, he was beginning to feel very worn out. His legs shook, his breath started heaving, his pelt got uncomfortably hot. If not for Galestorm helping on the other side, this would've been an impossible ordeal. At least the SkyClanner wasn't too big or bulky. Any heavier, and he'd have collapsed. Still, he was grateful they'd made it. "Well, here we are," he panted--more for Galestorm's benefit than the medicine cat's, since he wasn't even sure if she was conscious anymore. "I hope you appreciate the help I offered because that's the last time I lug anything heavier than a rabbit back to camp." Smug Pipitpaw had run all the way ahead of them into camp to spread the news. But where was she? He didn't see her anywhere and oh stars why was the smell of blood so strong in the air, suddenly?
The flame-red calico tabby tom stopped in his tracks, feeling his eyes widen as he looked at the scene lying before them. A ton of warriors and apprentices and even a kit or two were converged in one area of the camp, and--wait, was that Tigerstar lying on the ground? What had happened to him, was he okay? And who was that strange tom he'd never seen before accompanying him? Surely they hadn't received two visitors from a different Clan at the exact same time. "What's going on?" If not for his deep worry about the scent of blood, he'd be upset that his dramatic entrance into camp had been immediately upstaged. But even he wasn't that petty, not at a time like this. "Is Tigerstar hurt? What happened?"

Galestorm
Confusion clouded Galestorm's eyes as he entered camp, surveying the chaotic scene before him. Larchpaw had helped carry the medicine cat back to camp, and now they very gently placed her down. The scent of another clan was strong, on top of the scent of blood, and the fur on the back of the tom's neck rose to meet it, his fierce amber gaze searching for something amiss.
Tigerstar lay collapsed in the center of the clearing, while his clanmates surrounded him. Galestorm pushed forward. "Back off," he meowed authoritatively to the younger cats, "Give Tigerstar some room to breathe, for StarClan's sake." He looked down at the little kit that was unfortunately a part of the event, and his eyes softened slightly. "Spiderkit," he meowed more gently, "The best thing you can do to help Tigerstar is to give him some room," he murmured, his eyes finally meeting those of the stranger that stood before them, stinking of SkyClan. Galestorm would have been much more alarmed if not for the strong scent of herbs on the tom's coat, implying he must be their medicine cat. Two medicine cats? Galestorm realized, glancing over his shoulder at the exhausted stranger.
"It seems we have ourselves quite a situation," he meowed to the stranger. "I am unsure why you're here, or what in StarClan is going on, but we need your help." Panic threatened to seize Galestorm, but he fought against it, forcing his fur flat. "Our deputy is sick, our leader is now apparently injured, and I just found this exhausted medicine cat collapsed in our territory. Please tell me you can help them."

"I hope that we can meet again one day, you and I," she mewed, "under peaceful skies."
Hemlockfox hadn't expected the most peaceful welcome to WindClan's camp, but he certainly hadn't expected to be bombarded by so many cats all at once. Everyone back in SkyClan knew he liked his space and respected that but, unsurprisingly, these WindClanners knew next to nothing about him. Tail lashing uncomfortably, the seal point tom tried to focus on the first WindClanner he'd spoken to - some warrior who looked suspiciously similar to Tigerstar - and released a breath as she helped them to the medicine den. His ear twitched as she explained that Daisyfang wasn't here, but what exactly that meant was a mystery. Had she gone to the moonstone? Was she out? From the clear desperation in these cats' faces, he doubted it was as simple as that.
His gaze travelled, then, to a smoky black tom. Why was he looking at him like that? It was almost unnerving. With a grimace, Hemlockfox turned his attention back to the she-cat. The tom almost scoffed at the astute observation and nodded. "Yeah. Hemlockfox." He grunted shortly, having little patience for small talk. Then, with a huff, he gently lowered Tigerstar to the ground in front of the medicine den. It would be too much of a pain to squeeze the three of them in all at once - he'd just go get the herbs and come back out. However, the she-cat's voice made him pause and, with a frown, Hemlockfox scanned the camp, taking it in for the first time since arriving. Staring back at him were hopeful faces full of worry for their fallen leader.
Hemlockfox supposed it couldn't hurt to stay for a little while...if they truly needed his help. Turning back to the warrior, he nodded stiffly. "It's my duty as a medicine cat to help those in need. I will assist WindClan as long as it is needed." He meowed after a moment. Which would, unfortunately, be much longer than he would like. As more cats crowded around them, Hemlockfox's hackles lifted, his muscles tensing. Some of them seemed perfectly content to sit back politely, but others were really getting on his nerves. Luckily, a tortoiseshell tom approached, calling for everyone to back off. Finally having some room to breathe, Hemlockfox turned to address the concerned clan of cats, his expression stoney.
However, before he could open his jaws, a patrol stumbled into the camp, drawing his already frayed attention away. Instantly, Hemlockfox's fur began to bristle, his heart stuttering within his chest. Thymelight? What was she doing here? Briefly, Hemlockfox considered the possibility that she had been following him and wanted to interrupt his first meeting with the WindClanners, but he dismissed the though with a growl and glanced at the tortoiseshell tom. "Keep an eye on Tigerstar. He won't bleed out, but I need to do something about his injuries." With that, he ducked into the medicine den, his blood roaring in his ears.
After a few steadying breaths, Hemlockfox surveyed the meager collection of herbs, his nose wrinkled. Many of them were shriveled or dried out, but it was better than nothing. With a frown carved into his face, Hemlockfox slid cooly out of the den, jaws full of herbs, and sat down beside Tigerstar's leg. Then, as he prepped the herbs, he spoke. "Please try to remain calm while I focus - Tigerstar's leg needs my attention and I can't help anyone if you all keep pestering me. I will do my best to take care of everyone, but I only have so many paws."

All Hail SkyClan's Resident Disney Princess
thymelight
No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing.
Thymelight was shocked that she had managed to stay awake throughout the trip back to WindClan’s camp. She had watched the moorland roll by through a blurry gaze, and it had seemed like ages before they finally reached their destination. She was so incredibly grateful for the assistance that Galestorm and Larchpaw had offered her, and she was appreciative of Pipitpaw’s efforts as well. She wasn’t expecting any warm welcomes or purrs from anyone, but what greeted her the moment she was brought into camp wasn’t even close to anything she had thought of. Many WindClan cats were crowded around the entrance, and one of them laid still on the ground. Despite the fact that she could barely see clearly, she vaguely recognized his form from seeing him on the Great Rock: it was Tigerstar. Stars… what had happened to him? She frantically looked over to Galestorm for some sort of explanation before he padded off to address yet another tom. The medicine cat slowly turned her head in his direction before her jaw fell open in shock.
Hemlockfox? Could this day get any unluckier for her?
She didn’t keep her eyes on her denmate. Instead, Thymelight attempted to look anywhere else. Both of them couldn’t possibly be here at the same time. Smokepetal was probably worried sick, and now the she-cat felt even guiltier for leaving her mentor there to look after the injured in the medicine den all on her own. It wasn’t too late to turn and make a run for it, a run back to the home she knew, but her limbs buckled the moment that she glanced toward the camp’s exit.
“Sorry.” Thymelight whispered to nobody in particular as she shakily regained her balance. Tigerstar was their priority, and she refused to be doted on when a leader was suffering right in the middle of camp. She was nervous and uncomfortable, and her expression showed it, but she said nothing more.
