Fishing for Minnows [O] 3/3

Lightpaw felt a flush of heat across his cheeks at Rookflight's praise. He murmured a soft, "Thank you..." and ducked his head, hiding a pleased smile. Their peaceful minnow-hunting escapade soon came to an end however, because a water snake made its appearance to try and join in on the fun. Lightpaw froze as the warriors tried to beat the reptile back with no success. He swallowed hard and flexed his claws; if Rookflight couldn't make a hit, how could he? But he knew he was expected to at least try.

He puffed up the fur along his spine to make himself bigger and hissed a warning at the snake. "You better back off...!" he spat, darting for the predator. He swiped at its head with unsheathed claws, hoping that fate was on his side.

Lightpaw used Front Paw Strike, using 7 stamina and dealing 6 damage. He was unsuccessful!
