No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing.
Thymelight calmly waited at the camp's exit for Harepaw, who she had summoned from the apprentice's den only a matter of heartbeats earlier. The traveling herbs that she had set aside for him were laid neatly at her paws. She had ingested her own share earlier, but the sour aftertaste lingered in her mouth anyway. She kept her eyes on the den to greet the tom when he came out to meet her.

Harepaw wasn't sure if he would be able to make it all the way on this journey even with the traveling herbs. He knew that his sickness was bothering him less and less as he grew but it still popped up every now and then, and he feared it would crop up on this trip. The golden apprentice approached the medicine cat that he had seen every so often on his regular visits to the medicine den. Steel blue eyes noting the herbs that sat next to her. "I'm guessing those are for me?"
No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing.
"Correct! I'll be taking you to the Moonstone today, and it's a bit of a journey so these will come in handy." Thymelight told Harepaw as she nudged the herb bundle closer with a paw. Once the tom had lapped up the herbs, she gave him a nod of approval and flicked her tail to instruct him to follow. The trip was exactly the way that she remembered it, and there were no obstacles in their way. Once Highstones was within reach, she looked over at Harepaw while the two of them walked. "Stay close behind me when we get to Mothermouth. The path is very dark, and it can be easy to get stuck or lost." Her voice was encouraging as Highstones drew closer.
Navigating her way through the tunnel became increasingly easier every time that she took an apprentice to the Moonstone, and the walk seemed even quicker this time as she emerged in the Moonstone's tavern with the apprentice behind her.
"Go ahead and touch your nose to it. I'll be waiting over here." She mewed in a whisper before settling down nearby.
Harepaw was very tired by the time they reached the high stones, but still he was surprised that he made it all the way there without falling out. For that he was thankful but he knew things weren't over yet, he still had to make it through the tunnels and to the Moonstone itself. He just needed to hold out a little bit longer.
As he followed the medicine cat down the tunnels he followed her scent carefully, making sure he didn't get lost, eventually arriving at the moonstone. He didn't really have the energy to take in the sight, collapsing at the base of the moonstone like Thymelight instructed, and pressed his nose to the cold surface. Letting sleep take him.
Harepaw would awake to a warm breeze and the starlit mirror of the creek that ran through Skyclan's territory in the waking world. No snow covered the ground, and the trees had crowns of green foliage. Beechfang had been expecting Harepaw, sitting besides the creek with her tail curled over her paws, a smile on her no-longer-ruined face. It wasn't an entirely happy smile, mingled with sorrow, but she was glad to see her apprentice. She didn't have many regrets about how she had died... But leaving him behind was one of them. She had watched over his trip to the moonstone with Thymelight, as she had watched the clan since her death, and tried not to fret.
"Hello, Harepaw." Beechfang beckoned the golden apprentice closer with a friendly wave of her tail. "You're one step closer to becoming a warrior. I wish I would be able to watch that in person, but I'll be watching, all the same."
