Yin and Yang [SC Border Patrol]

Sablestrike set the two on a steady trot as he lead his white companion along the scented path. Adjusting to the loss of an eye was no simple task. Often times Sablestrike found himself going about life regularly, not knowing that in doing so he was sabotaging himself. In this instance he had positioned himself in a way that left Swiftheart in his blind spot, but perhaps that was for the best. The molly had assured him things between them were fine, but he still found it hard to look in her direction since the attack. The scar that mirrored his own was an eyesore, a continual reminder that he could hurt the clanmates, and friends, that he loved so dearly. Not a night went by that the tom didn't regret leaving that mark on her, but he couldn't let one mistake end the friendship that he had come to cherish... Could he?

Before he knew it Sablestrike had lead the two to their first stop, a jagged half-tree that stuck out of the mud like a weed. The tom stopped near it. "Could you er, get that?" Tipping his head toward the tree Sablestrike waited for Swiftheart to refresh the scent marker. Even making small requests of the molly felt unearned, unfair to make.
