In the peaceful midday sun, Vinecrawler lay at the base of a tree to soak up as much of the warm sun as he could. Sometimes, he lay here just because his dad used to, trying to soak up whatever memories he had of the feral tom who he missed dearly with every passing day. Vinecrawler was making more friends by the day lately who were very interested in the feral tongue, but that didn't keep him from falling back on old memories of when he and his siblings used to roll about outside the nursery kicking up dust with every tuck and roll they did. Friends were always welcome, but the bond of kin was always closer to his heart.

As though the Now had heard his thoughts, Wiggleworm's cheery voice called out to him. His head turned to watch his brother trot towards him looking better than he had in moons. It brough a smile to his maw, dipping his head in a returned greeting, their heads bumping into one another affectionately. He would never have turned down Wiggleworm's offer, but it seemed like there wouldn't have been any room to if the thought had ever crossed his mind. He chuckled in response as he rose to his paws. "It would mean the world to me, brother. Perhaps a hunt? Get a bird in that belly of yours, hm?" He nudged the tom as he padded beside him, his head tilting to listen out for the fluttering of wings and chirping of active prey.

A rustling in the branches above them had the warriors sandy head lean back to look up... Only to be met with a face full of scales and frantic hissing. "Foxdung!" His body moved on its own, but the sudden movement had the snakes fangs digging into his skull. He yelped in pain as he frantically swiped claws over the snake.

Snake used Gripping Bite on Vinecrawler, dealing 7 damage and using 15 SP.

Relief in his eyes as his brother was quick to return, teeth clamping onto the snap with the force of a cat who held the true feral bloodline. Though blood pooled into one of his eyes from the wound, he held both open in defiance, half blinded and truly seeing red. Vinecrawler attempted to swipe at it once more, only to find it missing, already detached from his skull. His ears frantically flicked back and forth in an attempt to hear it's hissing, only to find out far too late that it had already turned to strike again.

Vinecrawler used Snap but missed! Cost 7 SP.

He had had enough the slithering parasite that lashing back and forth from the shadows and plagued both him and his beloved brother, his jaws building up a foam that only frothed further the more the snake evaded their every attempt to strike it down. The blood the serpent had drawn that ran into his eye splattered as his head and neck snapped forward, relishing in its flesh finally being clamped in tight in his jaws. With one sharp movement, he whipped the snake back and forth more times than was needed, each lash of its body creating a sickening snap.

It was long dead by the time Vinecrawler finally let it go, a broken heap at his paws. "Are you alright, brother?" His chest heaved

The warriors body visibly relaxed at the confirmation that Wiggleworm was fine, a sigh brushing his bloodied whiskers. "It stings, but I have felt much worse than this. Medicine cats... That is a good idea, brother. Hopefully neither of us suffer the snakes venom. Shall we head back?" He rumbled, on eye still closed as the trickle of blood began to slow and darken as it dried. He felt fine other than the bite marks on his head, but he had never been injected with venom before to even know what it would do to ones body. To say he was slightly scared would be truth.
