As Stoatclaw regarded the large warrior who had become more scars than cat, he couldn't help but shuffle his paws nervously. This was a cat that had seen countless battles in her lifetime and wore the scars to prove it, stars she had so many... At this point she resembled one of the trees that they would mark on their territory, scattered with claw marks on almost every in- hold on! He was getting distracted now, and had probably been staring for far too long. "I-I, uh, spar with me?" The words tumbled from Stoatclaw's mouth so easily, yet so awkwardly, as if he were a child expecting a scolding from their parent.

Beechfang had grown used to cats staring at her. She noticed them, but it seldom bothered her. The brown and white tom finally seemed to work up the nerve to approach her... And ask for a spar. He sounded more like a kit waiting to be scolded than a seasoned warrior of Skyclan, in her estimation... But he had asked for a spar, so he couldn't be as kittish as he sounded, surely?
"A spar? Alright, sure." She mewed, stretching as she rose to her paws. She wasn't exactly out of shape, but with everything else going on it had been a bit since she'd sparred with one of her clanmates. And with everything else going on... Battle training never hurt anyone. Her single eye focused on Stoatclaw, sizing up the other Skyclanner, watching to see what he would do.
