A Faint Echo

Swiftheart sniffled a little as she looked around wearily. She pushed herself up to her paws tiptoeing her way carefully around all her other sick clanmates.
She made her way to her younger brother Echomist. She gave a little purr announcing her arrival and settled in next to his side. He had been through a lot lately, they all had. She gave him a loving nuzzle and leaned into him wanting him to know she was there for him.

She had been sure to give him plenty of space after the loss of his kits and the breaking apart temporarily of him and leo.

But now that time had passed she also could not stay away forever, she had to let him know that he could always talk to her if he needed.

"Echo? Are you hanging in there?" she whispered quietly. Her throat hurt a bit too much to talk in great lengths like she usually did and was known for.

But even getting to spend some time with him was very much alright in her mind.

The spotted tom groaned as he heard a voice approach him. His body hurt, his throat hurt from coughing, and vomiting all the time. Whatever this was it got him, and it got him good. There wasn't much he could do aside from eating and drinking whatever was brought to him, and half the time it didn't stay down. "As best as I can." His weak voice groaned.
