Tawnyshadow's condition had yet to improve, despite her medicine cats' attempts at finding a herb to alivate the sickness. Perhaps it was more of her fault, for insisting on not receiving any food or herb until every other cat had gotten enough. The tortoiseshell now laid at the corner of the make-shift camp, flank heaving with each breath that she took. It was as if ice had crept into her very veins. Bleary eyes opened a little to seek out the face of her beloved. "Sunflare," she whispered, voice hoarse and cracking from the sickness that plagued both of them. She attempted to curl around her mate, but ended up only shifting a small distance. Her mate was still here with her. She hadn't lost everything yet. She repeated that to herself in her mind as she nuzzled Sunflare, ignoring the waves of heat that came from both of them. We'll be fine.
