Though she had no intentions of fostering either alliances or rivalries with the other Clans, maintaining some form of relation was a necessity; especially now that they were all traveling as one large group. ShadowClan was small, easily dwarfed by most of the other Clans even one-on-one and even more so with all of them together. Should things sour, they would be at an intense disadvantage: it was best to keep on top of things, and that meant keeping cordial relations where she could.

Her favored method of peacekeeping had, for a long time, been sharing prey; and while hunting wasn't any easier here than the scarcity of the forest (in part due to her lack of familiarity with the terrain), she had miraculously managed to get her paws on a rabbit. It was particularly impressive, given that she'd found herself coughing from the exertion throughout the chase and still managed to catch it in the end.

She carried it now as she approached a small group of nearby cats.

"It's certainly interesting, traveling so far from the forest."

"It could certainly be worse," she said lightly, gesturing to the rabbit with her tail as she set it down; taking the lack of hostility as not necessarily an invitation to stay but as indication that she could. "It's no frog, and I suppose you'd likely prefer fish, but any prey is better than nothing."

Prey had remained somewhat scarce as they traveled--something she chose to hope was simply due to such a large group of cats traveling and hunting together, rather than whatever had plagued the forest spreading further away than they'd expected.

She laid nearby and took a bite of rabbit, savoring the taste of fresh-caught prey; something she'd gained a new appreciation for recently. Admittedly, it was also the first proper meal she'd stopped to have in some time, which she supposed probably contributed to how satisfying she found it.

"And you? How has the journey found you?"
