Firefly had noticed her sister working harder than usual lately. It was unknown where the sudden energy to do apprentice duties came from, but the russet she-cat wouldn't question such a blessing. As she layed sprawled out next to Rosepaw - in the extremely rare ray of sunlight these days - she leaned her head against her sisters back. "So... Curlyfluff?"

"Rule #1 is that you've gotta have fun!"

I want to be a warrior now, she had decided. Even though that meant listening to her superiors for once, and doing all the boring and gross chores. She figured there was no point holding back if she ever genuinely wanted to be the best she could be. The Great Rosethorn. She grew more and more excited every day as she worked towards her ceremony. Ready to see everyone as proud of her as she was of herself.

But right now she was on break, equally eager to catch the few rays that decided to shine down this season. Her small, plush body stretched confidently across the stones as her fur's red undertones sparked from the sunlight. The she-cat’s puffy tail moved to playfully flick near her sister’s even brighter russet face. Rosepaw scoffed lightly, “What about Curlyfluff?”

Firefly laughed a bit at the response, the two she-cats obviously sisters. "What about him indeed..." Her tail flicked her sister playfully, laying to rest across her sisters head. The sun had began to drag out a slight purr from the normally stoic warrior. This was... Peaceful. It was just her and her sister, their only company being the warm and soothing rock beneath them. "He's a nice tom. Reliable, even outside of those cry-baby tears of his. You should bully him more."

Firefly. Always the one to encourage Rosepaw’s more aggressive qualities- or rather, the only one. But the apprentice shook her head. “No... I think he’s had enough of that.” Curlyfluff was really the only clanmate who wasn’t a family member who wanted to spend time with her. The least she could do was refrain from hurting his feelings or destroying his self-esteem. “Besides, I can’t really come up with much to insult him with any more. Like you said, he’s a nice tom.” She thought of his sweet smile. His optimistic demeanor. His kindness. Cats like Firefly didn’t give him enough credit. He could be just as brave as the bravest warrior if he needed to. Rosepaw blinked out of her daze. What am I saying? I better not be growing soft. I don’t want to be a crybaby too.
