Tigerdance was conflicted. He didn't know if he should be happy to have more paws to assist with the difficult times ahead, or if he should feel sad that the kit is stepping out of the comfort of the nursery and into the difficulties of warriorhood, but he couldn't deny the kit of the need to grow. So he willed himself to speak. "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather here for a clan meeting!"

Pantherkit wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not. He had surpassed the average apprentice age moons ago, and anyone that would've laid eyes on him without knowing his situation would be confused as to why someone of his age was still in the nursery. Being held back because of a reckless mistake that he had made as a kit was beyond humiliating, and he paid the price for it over and over whenever he woke up in the nursery instead of an apprentices' den. Even now, even though he was finally moving to the next stage of his life, his price would never be fully paid. His face would stay the same. He padded out of the nursery, ready for his new name, and settled down near the front of the crowd.
Tigerdance noted that the cat to be named had padded his way out of the nursery. It was an unfortunate event that took place a while ago, delaying the kits apprentice ceremony until they were certain that he could perform apprentice duties. It was just unfortunate that it had come at a time such as this.
"Today another kit has been deemed fit to join the ranks of apprentice, Pantherkit please come forward." The deputy stated, giving pause for said kit to approach. "From this moment on until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Pantherpaw. I will be your mentor." The deputy said knowing deep down he couldn't trust the apprentice's training to anyone else, considering his condition.
