Gleefully, the tortoiseshell made her way to the Highrock. Hopping up onto it without so much as a second thought, it was time for yet another ceremony. As a change this time around, however, it was early in the day. Morning patrols had just returned, and the midday patrols had yet to go out. Perfect timing for those to gather around and start off the day with joy. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"
Fallowkit hardly listened to what Thunderclan's leadership said, really. All he bothered to recognize was a voice rising above the rest, originating from the Highrock. What the mottled she-cat said? He didn't know. He still wandered from the nursery anyways, looking up to the cat on the Highrock before getting distracted by a bird passing by overhead.

She couldn't help the chuckle that came as a bird caught the attention of one of her clanmates more than the meeting itself. Truth be told, she herself had likely done the exact same thing as a kit. That hardly mattered to her, however, as she gave a sweep over the rest of her Clan. Her gaze had landed perfectly upon the cat she knew would be the perfect mentor, a warm purr rising in her throat. "Thunderclan, we gather today to see another kit joining our ranks as an apprentice. Fallowkit, dear, please step forward." Her voice grew just a little bit louder upon calling the young tom's name, just in case he had been distracted by something else. The world was definitely much more interesting than she was, and that was even the case for Mottlestar herself.
"Fallowkit, you have reached the age of six moons. As a Thunderclan cat, that means it is time for you to become an apprentice. From now until you take the pledge to receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Fallowpaw." Now, a brief pause, as her gaze turned to the cat she had chosen to mentor. With a warm purr, she dipped her head. "Blazefang will be your mentor. She will be able to teach you all she knows and more. I trust her to do well." The molly had come to Thunderclan with kits, seeking refuge and to be with her mate. She couldn't deny her, and Blazefang had more than proven herself to be a vital part of the Clan. Dismissing the crowd with her tail, she lept down, going right to where the newly-named mentor sat.
"I feel it has been overdue to give you an apprentice, Blazefang. You've more than earned your place here, and I'm looking forward to seeing how training goes." A statement of faith. Of belief, of the fact that Mottlestar fully embraced Blazefang as a member of Thunderclan.
Aurelia allowed herself a soft smile as another kit of one of her dearest friends was called forward. Fallowkit had joined the crowd gathering, though the kit's easily distractible nature brought a glimmer of amusement to Aurelia's expression. She seldom cared much for the affairs of the clan she had reluctantly called home, but caring for the kits she and her two companions had brought into the clan and watching as one by one they left the nursery was something she would always take part in. For them, she would willingly be a part of clan life. Fallowpaw was given to Blazefang to mentor, a warrior that Aurelia recognized somewhat. She wasn't quite sure on most of the warriors in Thunderclan still, if she was being honest, but one she recognized was better than one she didn't, particularly when she was concerned with Fallowpaw's easily distractible nature. She would be watching how training progressed, just as she was for their other kits.
Blazefang hadn’t been expecting her name, but she stepped forward with confidence. This was her fourth time doing this, after all. Still, this time would be completely different from the others. She was in ThunderClan, would need to teach Fallowpaw how to hunt and fight in the forest, and if her observations of the feral’s kits were correct there was probably going to be a language gap. She faced her new apprentice and touched noses, the young cat’s lanky frame matching her own. “Congratulations, Fallowpaw,” she purred. “Go ahead and find yourself a nest in the apprentice den. Training begins tomorrow. Understand?” She motioned to the den with her tail and smiled, wanting to ensure she was understood.
