| Many things had happened since the last time a warrior ceremony had happened. Most of them bad: heck, maybe all of them bad. Things must go on, though, and so that was why Shrikestar was on the Tallrock, looking down on his clan. Sometimes it felt like his relationship with so many of his clanmates had deteriorated. Was it even possible to save them? He didn't know, and that was the scary part. "All cats who are old enough to run the moors gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!" |

Nectarpaw padded into the center of the camp upon hearing Shrikestar's summons. It had been a long time since a ceremony had taken place and the last big thing that had happened was Shadowclan's attack, so she was understandably curious - and a little worried - to see what was going on.
Hopefully, it was nothing too bad, like another attack or something else along those lines. Groaning, Nectarpaw sat down in her usual spot and tried to muster up a cheerful disposition, she had to appear unfazed.
Then, it hit her, this was her ceremony, wasn't it? Even Sootstorm had said that he would speak with Shrikestar soon about making her a warrior. This was good then.
At least, she hoped that's what was going to happen.
With this little ray of sunshine on her life, Nectarpaw sat a little straighter, her eyes bright with excitement. She looked around, glad to see her mother sitting nearby, a look of pride on her face. It was as she thought then!
This was what Windclan needed, a new warrior would help bolster their ranks.

| Shrikestar could see the excitement suddenly hitting the apprentice, which made him smile, if only slightly. Some things never changed, at least. "Nectarpaw, step forward." He called the apprentice to him, waiting for her to move forward before continuing. "Do you promise to uphold the values of WindClan and defend your clan, even at the cost of your own life?" That part felt more weighty after what had happened with ShadowClan. |

| Sootstorm watched the ceremony unfold from the crowd. The dappled brown-and-white tom glowed with pride as he watched his first apprentice be called forward by Shrikestar. Nectarpaw would be a great asset for Windclan, and they were now one step closer to peace with the clans. ______________________________________ |

Nectarpaw's body jolted as Shrikestar called her forward. It felt as though she had been dunked in a cold river, leaving her frazzled yet oddly rejuvenated. She bounded to the center of the clearing, her green eyes alight with excitement.
Despite the somber mood that had blanketed the camp as of late, Nectarpaw was, as usual, a bright beacon of joy. She stared breathlessly up at Shrikestar as he spoke, her paws tingling with excitement. Oh wow, this was really it; she was about to be made a warrior! Stars! Where was Sootstorm!
The tortoiseshell she-cat looked around briefly before her gaze eventually landed on the brown and white warrior - her mentor. Would they still hunt and train together now that she was going to be a warrior?
She hoped that nothing would change. She was...embarrassed to admit that she had very few friends in Windclan. If she lost Sootstorm as a cat she could lean on, she'd be left with Ferntwist and her mother. How sad was that?
Nectarpaw narrowed her eyes, she would have to deal with that later!
The green young she-cat dipped her head, her expression serious. "I do." A shiver went down her spine as she remembered the loss of her clanmates who had been struck down by Shadowclan's claws.
It wouldn't come to that again - it couldn't. Not for her or anyone else.
