Thunderclan had been growing, making Darkspirit busier, but not in a way that he minded. He climbed up onto Highrock and called across camp. "Let all of those old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!" He then sat and waited patiently for Cloudykit and the rest of the clan to gather.

Cloudykit trotted out of the nursery, his fur unusually neat. Blazefang had spent the entire morning grooming his fur till it was as sleek and smooth as pebbles, something that none of his sisters had to go through. He was also the last to get apprenticed. Is everyone babying me? He thought sulkily.

Once Cloudykit and the rest of the clan gathered, Darkspirit's voice rang out: "Cloudykit, step forward. You have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to become an apprentice. From today until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Cloudypaw. Thrushnose will be your mentor." His eyes landed on the warrior and he gave them a nod. With that, the meeting came to an end. He hoped his instincts had been correct.

Thrushnose's ears perked upon hearing his name being called out and chosen for mentoring, yellow eyes darting towards the newly-made apprentice out of unexpectedness. I was chosen for mentoring? It caught him by surprise, though pleasantly so. Walking up to Cloudypaw, he lowered his head in order to touch his nose with him, smiling softly. "Congratulations on becoming an apprentice, Cloudypaw. We'll be starting your training this afternoon. In the meantime, feel free to explore the apprentices' den and take some rest."
