"Stormwatcher?" It had taken some searching, but she'd found the warrior not far outside of camp. When Wolfblossom had suggested she spar with Stormwatcher, Graywind had grumbled in protest. She didn't know the older warrior at all truthfully, but what she did know was that he was lazy, and that Wolfblossom and a few of their clanmates seemed to have to prod him into doing things. Graywind didn't think it was her business really, but she also wasn't going to turn down an opportunity to spar and improve her own skills.
"Can we spar?" It wasn't really a question since Wolfblossom asked... But Graywind would at least be polite about it first.

Stormwatcher glanced up at the approaching pawsteps. For once he was not asleep and was actually awake.
"a spar?" he rubbed his face a bit with his paws. Sparring was one of his least favorite things to do ever. Fighting in general was not his thing really. Yeah he would do it if there was not another way out but mainly he just tried to look scary if a fight was coming his way and if that didnt work there was always the climbing up a tree tactic.
"why dont ya go windclan or shadowclan if you are looking for battle experience" he muttered under his breath quietly to himself. Those two clans seemed intent on ripping each other to shreds. As for him and he hoped skyclan as well... they could continue their napping in peace. Come to think of it Birdstar had just had a nice nap party in camp. Much respect for her for doing such important things.
He gave a stretch slowly shifting his thoughts back to the warrior before him.
"alright uhm fine... lets make it interesting though. I win and you take one of my patrols... and uhh if you win... I ... I will uh take one of your patrols" he offered.
If he had to spar Graywind he should at least have a motivator for having to do so.
Ok so the big tom didnt like spars and all but if this was the stakes then you could be sure that there would be no going easy on his clanmate. Of course, no claws would be used.
The last thing he needed right now was to get stuck with an additional patrol if he lost this thing... That and he was pretty sure that if Wolf found out just how bad he was at sparring she would give him extra practice... assuming that wasnt already what this was.
"ok readysetgo!
he lumbered over at her and full barbarian mode gave a shove at her. He used the nearby tree to push off from as well a classic skyclan maneuverer
Skyclan: Leaping Bound [Special, Pin] used by Stormwatcher for 7 dmg and 10 sp PIN

"I'd rather spar, and that's halfway across the forest." Graywind scoffed at him, tail flicking. Golden eyes narrowed at the idea of trading patrols. Stormwatcher was lazy, but he'd been a warrior for longer, hadn't he? Graywind was not one to place bets but... Maybe this could work in her favor. Still... Stormwatcher was lazy enough that he was likely to be assigned more work out of Wolfblossom's exasperation anyways. The potential for one extra patrol for Graywind wasn't too much of a big deal, really. "Fine." She muttered, and then Stormwatcher had launched himself at her. With a growl, Graywind twisted beneath him. He didn't think she would make this easy, did he? She managed to break his grip, aiming a blow between his ribs in retaliation.
Graywind used Duck and Twist for -5 sp, escape successful, dealing 7 damage.

"oh... I wasnt serious" he purred jokingly. His clanmates seemed to be very serious sometimes. They should try just chilling and taking a nap it helped alot.
She squirmed away from his pin and smacked at his ribs. Ouchie. He glanced back at her with a look like... 'do we have to do this?/ this is so not enjoyable'
he sighed... well at least since she agreed to the deal he had some amount of motivation to actually try.
Without the carrot on the stick of getting to pawn off a patrol if he won this thing he probably would have just rolled over and let her pin him to get it over with then tell her how good a fighter she was and hopefully she would let him go back to sleep... but with reward on the line he actually would try.
He smacked at her best he could while being careful not to actually hurt her.
"i think I will give you my morning patrol he mused thinking about it already

Graywind took the blows to her shoulders, then shoved off the ground toward Stormwatcher. They were both reasonably large cats, but the younger warrior thought if she caught him by surprise she would be able to use his own trick against him. "Dawn patrol isn't so bad... Suit yourself, though." She mewed.
Graywind used Leap and Hold for -15 sp, dealing -8 damage. Stormwatcher is pinned for 2 turns. Climber's Grasp active, +1 chance to pin.
