One with the moor[Open hunting]

Sootpaw trailed after the hunting patrol as they padded up the slope. It was an unusually windy day, and the wind whistled as it ruffled his fur. Sootpaw opened his mouth to try and catch a scent of prey; rabbit, though a bit stale, heather and some braken. This would be his first time on a patrol with more than just his mentor or the other apprentices. It was a real patrol! Sootpaw caught sight of a crowd of rabbits, young and still shedding their winter coat, a little far off.

"Hey, look!" He called to his clanmates, pointing to the rabbits with his tail. As soon as he was sure that the rest of the patrol knew about the rabbits, he was sprinting down the slope, his paws so light they barely touched the ground before they were up again. Sootpaw lunged towards the rabbits, his claws unseathed to claw at the prey's pelt. He nipped the rabbit's spine and it fell limp in his grip.

I caught it! A thrill ran through Sootpaw as he turned around to present his rabbit to the rest of the patrol, who were pelting after the remaining rabbits.
