Sibling Spar [Badgermask]

With no patrols to go on for the moment, Moondancer had found herself with nothing to do, and so had taken it upon herself to find something. It had been a while since she sparred with one of her clanmates, so had asked her sister to join her. Badgermask had agreed, and the two found a quiet spot that was out of the way and relatively dry... About as dry as Moondancer thought Shadowclan territory was capable of getting. For a spar, it would work.

She turned to face Badgermask, a rare smile gracing her features. "Ready?" She asked, focused on the patchy she-cat.

It had been a surprise when Moondancer had approached her for a spar - most of the time it was the young warrior choosing to spend time with her aloof sister but that only made this entire moment more special. She hadn't really gotten a chance to spar with a Clanmate, having been far too timid last time it was offered and she had missed her chance to see Moondancer in true action when the dogs had attacked the camp...She was eager to experience both.  

As they reached their chosen spar location and faced off, Badgermask gave a smile back before she dropped into a battle crouch. "Ready!" she chirped, before launching herself forward - eager to make the first move against her sister. After all, Moondancer had been a warrior quite a bit longer than Badgermask - she would have to give it her all if she expected to come out on top in this duel.

With another cat, Moondancer would never have offered the first blow, except maybe to an apprentice. This was Badgermask however, so she grinned as her sister charged forward her. knocking into her. Leopardsun was her mentor and would have trained her well, so while Moondancer had been a warrior for longer, she thought they might be more evenly matched than she first realized. Moondancer leapt forward, aiming to pin Badgermask beneath her, even momentarily. Her claws remained sheathed, but she had, for the moment at least, found a secure grip. Moondancer flashed a grin at her sister, green eyes glinting with mischief.

Badgermask's eyes widen with a gasp as Moondancer quickly recovered from her tackle - and chose to repay the attack with one of her own. There was no time to brace herself for the impact as she was knocked to the ground, paws square on her shoulders. The warrior caught the glimpse of her sister's grin, eyes reflecting excitement at the thrill of the spar. But the spar wouldn't go well for her if she couldn't get her way out... She pulled her paws beneath her as well as she could, before she rolled her weight to the side - hoping to throw Moondancer off enough that she could wiggle free.

Moondancer purred, though her grip had loosened a bit. She didn't want to let her sister up just yet, though, what would be the fun in that?
