Non-Alliances Mean Nothing [Lightly Open]

OoC: This topic is lightly open in the sense that I am A-Okay with people wanting to comment and interact with her when she's in the middle of camp/noticing she's there/ect. The main focus of the topic is for her to talk with Batsong, but you're free to jump in as well! Also someone come find her. She's lost.


Burdockroot didn't tell Nightstar where she was going. It wasn't his business to meddle in medicine cat affairs. As a medicine cat, she knew no borders. Batsong and herself had gotten rather close when the two clans were refugees in Highstones. Like herself, Batsong was a warrior before taking up the mantle of medicine cat, and for this reason, Burdockroot's paws crossed the line between WindClan and ShadowClan without even as much of an ear twitch. But after walking for about ten minutes in a straight line, it occurred to her that she had no idea where the camp was and the rolling hills were confusing and misguiding. What she did know, was that the camp was nestled in a hollow of a hill. But which hill? StarClan. With a sigh, she kept walking while scenting the air for any concentrated scents of WindClan.

Batsong was out picking herbs... or whatever few remained in this frosted land of hilly wind blown land she had. Which was not much. She had garbage luck so far not finding a single useful thing. However, her eye was always on the lookout for those little white flowers that Brackenwing had described. The miricle flowers that healed her sisters leg had been a dream of Batsongs to now find.


Her thoughts were interupted however when a scent that was very unwelcome hit her.

Her eyes narrowed slightly ... "s-s...sh-shadowclan she hissed under her breath.


Keeping low to the ground she stalked the moors peaking up over a hill to see Burdockroot trotting along ... she looked as lost as a kit right now. Batsong was no longer worried. Her and Burdockroot were good friends despite shadowclan and windclans high tentions the two med cats were getting along just fine...

hmm maybe the clans should be ruled by med cats who knew what battles did to cats and who would be more considerate of such things. But oh well.


Without hesitating or thinking twice she called out for her friend as she went to her side.

Burdockroot? are y-you alright?" she asked a little worried. She didnt mind Burdock root coming over, after all borders didnt apply to med cats but she was worried that something was wrong and if Burdockroot needed help at all

Burdockroot turned her head to the sound of Batsong's voice and felt soothed. She had actually missed this little nervous cat. With the vaguest hint of a smile, she changed directions and padded up to her. "Everything is fine. I just wanted to come talk to you." The whispers, the ones she had since a kit, were growing quieter and quieter with every passing day, so she would not confide to her about this. But the struggles and frustrations she felt, this would be Batsong would understand.

Batsong nodded relived.  It was good to know that nothing was immediately in danger of any emergency or anything like that.  She relaxed alot and matched her good friend's smile.  Burdock just wanted to talk?  That was fine with Batsong, she found that Burdockroot was one of the few reasonable cats of shadowclan.  During the two clans showdowns, Burdockroot had been trying to keep the peace just as herself.  

They shared the fact that they were warriors turned med cats when the previous med cat just disappeared,  she wondered at times if Burdockroot sometimes missed warrior life like she sometimes did.

She nodded and walked beside her friend "of c-course" she purred softly. Batsong was a good listener and she had a guess that burdockroot needed something to say

Glancing up at the sky, Burdockroot felt uncomfortable. Not that she couldn't handle a hawk if it came crashing down, but in her vulnerable state she felt on edge away from the trees of the swamp. "Can we talk in your den?" Tearing her multi-colored gaze from the sky, Burdockroot glanced at Batsong.

Batsong nodded understandingly. She just hoped that everything was alright.


Batsong fully trusted Burdockroot and she was the only shadowclan cat who had earned that so Batsong didnt worry at all of this request. She led the way back to Windclan's camp. If any windclan cats disagreed with this she would deal with them herself.

She led Burdockroot over to her den signaling to be careful not to step on the sleeping Vulturepaw.

She went to the back of the den where the quietest part was and offered her friend a place to sit with a little smile.
