Silverkit
They hadn't gotten the chance on the day Cinderpaw's offer was made– she'd been pulled away for training, and all the commotion had made Silverkit a bit tired, anyway –but the following evening, he was more than ready to follow her around camp. Even though there weren't that many moons between them, she was still older. And she'd become an apprentice! Sure, it was recent, but she must have learned so much already. There were plenty of questions he wanted to ask just about what her training was like, but for now, he would focus on the task at paw. He would be hopeless as an apprentice if he didn't know his way around camp, after all.
With his fur groomed neat and a more forceful message to behave from Meadowlark (something that briefly dampened his mood), Silverkit was freed to spring out of the den, more mindful of who might be out this time. He didn't have to look for to spot her familiar pelt not far off, back turned to him. Bouncing over, he chirped, "Cinderpaw! I'm ready whenever you are, to explore camp!"

Cinderpaw had been slightly disappointed when she had been pulled away for training so quickly, but after talking with Swiftheart her mentor had agreed to allow her some time to show Silverkit around the camp the next night. The young apprentice could hardly wait, and finally as the sun began to set it was time. Leaving her nest in the apprentice den, she set out into the camp, looking around for the little tom. His voice came from behind her, and she turned to see him bounding towards her. Whiskers twitching with excitement, she purred out a greeting. "Hi Silverkit! I won't keep you waiting then. Let's see, you already know where the nursery is, so... I'll show you the medicine den! You can go there to see Burdockroot if you get injured or aren't feeling well, and she can help you!" Being mindful of any other cats around, Cinderpaw led the kit over to the medicine den, a small entrance shielded by two boulders and surrounded by ferns that was close to Jaggedrock.

Silverkit
Cinderpaw wasted no time in grinning and turning to lead the way, and Silverkit scurried quickly after her. Though it was early in the night, it seemed like everyone in camp had already crawled out of their nests, milling about before setting off on patrol. Shaking his head and pulling his attention away from faces he hadn't put a name to yet, Silverkit put his attention ahead, squinting at the wedge of stone and ferns in front of them. He knew Burdockroot in passing, from her few visits to the nursery, but he didn't really know her well. She seemed intimidating, though; that just made him all the more determined to find and bother her.
Skipping past Cinderpaw, Silverkit leaned towards the opening between the boulders. He had to squint to see well into the den, but it looked the same as the nursery... sort of. A few nests put together along the earth, though it looked like most of them hadn't seen any use for a while. It reeked, too, the mingled earthy scents that usually clung to Burdockroot's pelt when she stopped by for the queens. "Are those just herbs?" His muzzle wrinkled, and Silverkit didn't bother to hide the way he stuck his tongue out. Some of the more prominent scents were pleasant, almost comforting, but all of them blending together was too much. Shaking his head, Silverkit backpedaled away from the boulders and mewed, with a note of great personal offense, "It smells bad in there. Good thing I can't get hurt or anything– I won't have to worry about going to Burdockroot!"
