Kestrelkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Runningwater had managed to send out a patrol or two within the span of time between Sparrowpaw and Kestrelkit's ceremonies. But now the time had come once more to call out to Windclan for yet another clan meeting. With furrowed brows he silently questioned if the other warriors would grow sick of hearing him call out. They would have to suck it up and get used toit, he had three more ceremonies to hold. He was just doing his job, and if any cat had a problem they could take it up with him.

Puffing out his chest and raising his voice, he summoned his clanmates once more. "Let all cats old enough to run the moors gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting. "

Eaglekit nearly hit his head on the low hanging nursery entrence as he literally bounced out of the nursery at the call of another meeting.  Sparrow had her naming just earlier and he was super excited for this one now.  The positive, happy go getter was pumped up and full of joy just like any other day.  He ran over to his favorite spot and sat down looking up at Runningwater.  He for one was not getting tired of the meetings. "yess!! windclan is the best clan ever!!" he cheered excited doing a little jig of a dance as he waited for it to officially start.

Windclan could do literally anything and he was super confident of that

Batsong had again camped out her spot near the back not one to want attention but she watched all the same.  This new deputy really got under her skin though, she told herself she just missed smallbean but somehow Running also had a way of thinking he was all better than smallbean even though small had just been taken... had this new hotshot warrior no respect?  She huffed a bit blowing the fur out of her eyes.  Whatever this ceromony wasnt about Running it was about coys kits and thats what she did her best to focus on

Kestrelkit was extremely happy for his little sister being made an apprentice, and he was pretty sure that he and his siblings would follow soon after. If not, how could they even bare being seperated? It would feel wrong to not be with his siblings at night? But when Runningwater called another meeting, Coyotegrin's slight smirk made him confident it would turn out okay. Prodding Jaykit in the shoulder, he followed behind Eaglekit and sat next to him.

Coyotegrin was not as far behind, settling down behind her kits.

The kit soon appeared, giving Runningwater only one more cat to account for. After locating Kestrelkit's future mentor, he spoke up once more. "Kestrelkit. Step forward." The tom allowed a pause, expecting the kit to separate from the crowd. "You are now six moons old and are of age to become an apprentice. From this moment on, you will be known as Kestrelpaw. Sleepyhollow will be your mentor."

Jaykit's gaze stayed fixed on Runningwater, even when Kestrelkit gave him a passing nudge. If this 'deputy' were following any order - which he obviously wasn't - either Eaglekit or himself would be the next up to become apprentices. As soon as his voice rang out, though, he realized that this wasn't the case. Of course, failing to meet Jaykit's expectations(again), Runningwater had decided to apprentice Kestrelkit instead. Groaning, he watched as his bother received his new name and mentor, and, despite his annoyance, stepped forward and quietly cheered for him. At least he could depend on his ceremony happening at some point today.

Coyotegrin purred, leaning into her eldest daughter. Of course she had asked Runningwater to chose Sleepyhollow to train Kestrelpaw. With a nod to her questioning eyes, she nudged her forward with her tail.

Kestrelkit's - Kestrelpaw's! - eyes widened as he spun around to face his older sister. "This will be so fun, Sleepyhollow!" He could hardly contain his excitement!
