As Blazefang stood at the border of ThunderClan territory, she kept having to remind herself that this was real. She and Shrikestar were actually going to talk to Dayquill and Mottlestar and hopefully confirm her move to ThunderClan! They’d gotten past SkyClan at Fourtrees without issue and now all they had to do was wait. Dayquill’s absence from the last Gathering kept nagging at the back of her mind, but she was sure it was fine. After all, Shrikestar hadn’t been too pleased with her, maybe Dayquill wasn’t allowed to go to the Gathering as a punishment for seeing Blazefang. She hated the thought of him being punished on account of her, but soon it would all be behind them. They’d start their new life together.

Standing next to his (former) warrior at the ThunderClan border, Shrikestar kept his eyes forward, waiting for an oncoming patrol. He felt uncomfortable being there, but not because he disliked being around ThunderClan. It was because of the awkwardness of losing another warrior to a ThunderClan love. He didn't want other clans thinking he couldn't keep his warriors. A soft sigh passed as he continued to wait silently.

Having been alerted by the patrol of the appearance of two particular Windclan cats, Mottlestar was quick to head out. It was unfortunate that Dayquill had been taken by twolegs not too long prior, but had he been around, he would have been right beside her. She had been waiting for some time to meet with Shrikestar, and it would be with as much good will as possible. She didn't want to take a warrior from Windclan, but would accept the she-cat had she needed a home. So as she approached, she gave a respectful dip of her head towards the leader. "Shrikestar. I appreciate you coming." Mottlestar greeted, gesturing with her tail to allow the two to at least step further into Thunderclan's territory so that they were not sitting on the border. "Dayquill would have also been here, but I fear he was taken by twolegs not too long ago. He should hopefully be returning soon." It was moreso for Blazefang's sake that she made the comment.

"I do not want to keep you from your Clan any longer than necessary, Shrikestar, so I will cut to my point. I am aware of my warrior, Dayquill, having been involved in a romance with Blazefang. He has told me of his wishes to be with the cat he wants to take as his mate. If you are open to taking a tom from another Clan, then upon his arrival I am sure we can discuss Dayquill becoming a warrior of Windclan. However, if your policies do not allow for such, then Thunderclan will respect them, and extend an invitation for Blazefang to become part of Thunderclan." She explained. Mottlestar didn't want to harbor any ill-will towards the other Clans. After all, she had no problem or hostility towards them. If anything... she felt bad. It never felt great as a leader when code-breaking came up.

Blazefang’s eyes grew wide and her claws dug into the ground at Mottlestar’s words. Dayquill was taken? No, this couldn’t be happening! Not now, of all times! Regaining her composure, the she-cat dipped her head to the ThunderClan leader. The last thing she needed was to make a bad first impression. As Mottlestar went on to suggest Dayquill join WindClan, Blazefang remained silent. She knew Shrikestar’s answer already, but it wasn’t her place to remind Mottlestar of the WindClan no-outsider policy.

Shrikestar saw Mottlestar approaching them. Possibly the most peaceful among the leaders, he respectfully dipped his head as well. "Thank you, Mottlestar." He stepped just over the border lines, feeling a little at-odds on another clan's territory. It would be nice when he could run the moors again, but for now he had a serious topic to discuss. "It is unfortunate that this had to happen, but I understand your policies on such events. As for WindClan, we do not allow forbidden romances, and we do not allow outsiders to join the clan. I have spoken with Blazefang, and we have agreed that she is to join ThunderClan if you allow it." It was clear from his expression that he wasn't happy with what was happening, but he couldn't stop young love even if he wanted to. "We also hope for Dayquill's safe return. These twolegs are a menace to all of us."

Mottlestar nodded towards Shrikestar. Thankfully, it would be a rather easy process for all of them involved. She'd spoken to Dayquill beforehand about Blazefang's intention to join the Clan - and had prepared to allow Blazefang in. "I fully understand. In that case, we are more than willing to allow Blazefang to join our ranks." She dipped her head. Mottlestar herself understood that love usually had other plans than what the forest allowed. All she could do was what she could to cause the least amount of problems in the Clans as possible. "Blazefang, do you denounce your allegiance from Windclan, and instead fully accept the life as a Thunderclan warrior?" She turned to the other molly. It was custom. She didn't want either Clan to have to worry about any odd rocks to step on, should Blazefang attempt to return to Windclan, or if a Windclan cat were to try to talk to her in Thunderclan. It was the last step before she could escort the molly to their camp, and get the queen settled.

Blazefang hesitated for just a moment. Would her old Clan ever forgive her? A tiny kick reminded her of who she was doing this for and she met Mottlestar’s gaze. “I do, Mottlestar. Though technically I’ll probably be moving into the nursery first.” Mottlestar didn’t look at all surprised about her request to join. Had Dayquill already spoken with her? Blazefang was grateful for that much. “I think you should know I’m expecting kits. They’re not Dayquill’s by blood, but he is aware of this and I intend to raise them as his. I promise they will be brought up as ThunderClan cats from the very beginning.”
