eveningmoon
warrior of thunderclan
Eveningmoon paced in front of the wooden barrier that opened to the outside world, his face screwed up in a scowl. That ShadowClan cat Harrierpaw had managed to escape, and he was furious that he wasn't able to. His stupid leg...He couldn't run like he used to anymore. There were a few other Clan cats here, and he needed to get out his pent-up energy. This place was so cramped, with too many cats and that StarClan-forsaken Twoleg roaming around.
She continued to try and put a kittypet collar on him, and he continued to scratch and bite at her weird paws until she stopped. He did feel a bit different, however. Whatever they did to him before he arrived here, they took something from him, he could tell. As well as another souvenir, the tip of one of his ears. With a growl of frustration, he swatted at the floor with unsheathed claws, scratching a mark into it.
He needed to let this energy out or he would explode. Raising his voice, he yowled, "All Clan cats that can hear me, come over here! I need a distraction." After a pause, he added, "...And Poppy as well."
ooc: Evening is calling all the Clan cats (and Poppy) to him!

Sunpaw was quick to answer the summons, a mangled shred of collar dangling from his teeth. This was his first kill here, and he’d hidden it away so he could take it out and continue to shred it from time to time. The apprentice was glad for a diversion and purred a little as he answered Eveningmoon’s call. Much as he hated to admit it, these other cats weren’t half-bad. The Twoleg nest stunk, but his fellow captives? Maybe this was traitorous, but Sunpaw almost felt as if they were their own little Clan.

Crookedpaw lifted his head when he heard Eveningmoon’s call. He didn’t really know the other cats here, but he didn’t hate their presence either. It was nice to have cats that understood the forest. As such, he rose to his feet and gathered to the cat in question, who asked for their presence. “What kind of distraction?” he asked.
Poppy's ear twitched at the sound of a Clan cat calling the others to a meeting- followed, surprisingly, by calling for her by name. "What is this? A distraction?"
It was nice, she had to admit, to feel included. She wasn't one of these Clan-dwelling warriors, and she wouldn't have chosen to be given the chance, but she could respect them; and she'd found she quite liked their company. And their names were pretty: the one who had called them, she recalled, was Eveningmoon; a different sort of name than any cat she'd met before this place.
Trufflesnap prowled over, her disgust on her situation clear as day. The stupid twoleg had put a fox-loving pink collar on her. One that had this piece of pink fabric with daisies hanging off of it. (OOC: A collar with a pink flower bandana on it - y'know, the ones that loop into the collar) She could not get it off for the life of her, and because of this, she was even more cranky than usual. "What do you want?" She nearly hissed at the other clan cat, tail already fluffed.
"When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire."

The tuxedo tom waited for the others to gather, his tailtip flicking. At Trufflesnap's hiss, his fur bristled a little in response to her irritability. "Thanks for joining me," he meowed, peering around at all of them. "I need exercise, and I'm sure you all do too. How about some sparring practice? Not aiming to actually hurt, of course. Sheathed claws. Let's see...Crookedpaw and Sunpaw, right? You two pair up, and Poppy, you...can join myself and Trufflesnap. How 'bout it?" He flashed a smirk at his companions, hoping they would join him. Otherwise he might just start a brawl himself.

Sunpaw looked at the other apprentice, a cat-eyebrow raised. Sparring, eh? That sounded fun. The cinnamon tom sprinted away for a second to stash his collar-shred, then returned and leaped at his fellow apprentice, paws outstretched.
Sunpaw used Jumping Strike without waiting for confirmation, dealing 9 damage and costing 7 stamina.

Trufflesnap hardly waited for Eveningmoon to finish his words before launching herself at him. The SkyClan warrior had a lot of pent up anger, and boy did she love fighting it out. With a his, she barreled into him, swatting his face with sheathed... unfortunately... claws.
Trufflesnap used Jumping Strike on Eveningmoon for 11 HP and using 7 SP.
Crookedpaw listened to Eveningmoon, and tilted his head. Training with battling? Crookedpaw had never actually been in a battle before. He was searching for Sunpaw to speak with him before their fight, but it seemed that Sunpaw was not giving Crookedpaw that opportunity. He squeaked and rolled out of the way before Sunpaw could land his launched attack. He hurriedly tried to bat at Sunpaw, but was too caught off guard to actually land his paw against him. “J-Just jumping in huh?” he asked with a nervous smile.
Crookedpaw used Dodge and Fight. Counterattack was not successful! Dealt 0 damage and cost 7 SP.
The words had hardly left his mouth when the burly SkyClanner leapt at him, smacking him across the face with a heavy paw. He reeled for a moment, his bum leg nearly giving out before he righted himself with a rather maniacal grin. "Oh, it's gonna be like that, huh?"
Leaping back at her, although a bit awkwardly, he bowled her over with all the force of a ThunderClan warrior, internally proud of himself for tackling a cat bigger than him.
Eveningmoon used Jumping Strike on Trufflesnap, dealing 8 damage and costing 7 stamina.
“Classic tactic!” Sunpaw purred. “I used to use it on my brother all the time,” he added, swatting at the other apprentice with a paw. Applepaw had never successfully dodged him before! This spar with Crookedpaw would be interesting.
Sunpaw used Front Paw Blow, dealing 4 damage and costing 5 stamina.
Sunpaw 20/20 HP 48/60 SP (-5)
Crookedpaw 16/20 HP (-4) 53/60 SP

Crookedpaw
Sunpaw’s words of encouragement helped put Crookedpaw a little more at ease. He hadn’t taken the time to speak to the apprentice, but he seemed nice. Crookedpaw managed to get a bit more confidence in his smile. He couldn’t dodge the hit from Sunpaw again, but he did leap forward to tackle Sunpaw to the ground. “Thank you! I’m not the best fighter…but I appreciate you not holding back on me.”
Crookedpaw used Leap and Hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 15 SP! Sunpaw is held down for 1 turn!
Sunpaw hit the floor, pinned beneath the other apprentice. He scrabbled wildly with his paws, but met only empty air. Okay, this was awkward. Pinning was a moment of triumph, but to be pinned? Humiliating. Still, the young tom’s expression remained upbeat as he waited for another opening.
