Foxpaw hadn’t complained yet of his pawpads hurting, which was good- yet at the same time Dawnfeather wanted to be prepared. It was surprisingly easy to infect cracked pads- but she couldn’t for the life of her remember what herb she’d used so often on her own paws when lost in Twolegplace. Still, she hoped to start teaching Mistpaw climbing soon, and perhaps let Foxpaw try a few simple tricks, and so- they needed to be prepared. It wouldn’t be fair to Plum… Plumleaf- to bring in two apprentices with cracked pads without any warning. Not that she hoped the two ‘paws would crack their paws- just that it was more than likely. If she could’ve remembered the name of the herb, she would’ve scouted around for some.

“Hello? Plumleaf?” she called quietly, coming to the medicine cat’s section of Fourtrees. “Don’t worry- no one’s hurt, I just had a few questions.” That was always Beechaunt’s first reaction, and Muddythorn too. Even Prima. It made sense, unfortunately. They’d seen so much death and pain- and it was always better to be prepared.

Plumleaf's ears perked at the sound of her name, and she looked up to see Dawnfeather walking towards her. It was her first instinct to check for injuries, her eyes scanning the warrior briefly before the reassurance was registered. Her demeanor visibly relaxed, and she waved Dawnfeather over with a friendly smile.
