Soon, the earthquake passed. Much to Mottlestar's relief. Fawnshine's words were hardly calming to the leader, and if anything, it only alarmed her further. The entire forest? Panic flashed behind her amber gaze for just a moment. Perhaps a moment too long, but it was understandable given how the world quite literally had been shaken around them. It was as if someone had taken the forest by the scruff, whipping it around like a ragdoll. To say that she didn't like it was an understatement.
The cracking of the forest beyond camp still unnerved every inch of Mottlestar, and knowing that they were in the hollow of the territory... it could only be a matter of time before the limbs of trees would be falling towards them. Slowly, she rose back to her paws, looking towards her Clan. "Thistlemask! Moosepaw! Go scout the way to Fourtrees - it's not safe for us here! Hopefully, Starclan has kept Fourtrees untouched! Everyone else - grab a clanmate! Warriors, grab kits. Apprentices, assist the elders!" Her voice carried out among her Clan, and her gaze locked on the two cats she particularly mentioned. While her yowl certainly wasn't as loud as it had been during the chaos itself... by no means was the molly quiet, and she could feel the strain in her throat from it all.
But that didn't matter. She needed to keep her clan safe. Turning to Fawnshine, Mottlestar let her worry show for yet another moment. "How can I help you, Fawnshine?"

A sense of deep unease had kept the molly on edge for quite some time; recent run-ins with rogues and the endless torrents of rain keeping her deeply concerned about the wellbeing and prosperity of her clan. The toll of leadership had been a surprising one, and Thistlemask often found herself how Mottlestar had done it - how she had taken on the responsibilities of both deputy and leader during Minnowstar's illness, with kits, and how it had scarcely impacted her. Most days she felt so tired that if the calico stopped moving for even a moment, sleep would have her in its grasps, and she quite frequently lacked the time to allow it to do so.
But for just a heartbeat, she had given in. Essentially asleep on her paws, half-lidded eyes watching the clan go about their day. The deputy was so tired, that as the world began to shake and crumble under her paws, it took an extra second to elicit a response, jumping a few tail-lengths in the air in shock and fear, fur bristling as she landed. She looked at Mottlestar with wide, terrified eyes, trying to piece together what was currently occurring, trying to count that all of her clanmates were present in the camp - to which all were, except Comfreyheart.
As her leader instructed her and Moosepaw to scout a way to Fourtrees, Thistlemask was halfway out of the camp already. She dipped her head to Mottlestar, and cast a quick look behind her to ensure her apprentice was coming with, before bounding towards Fourtrees.

Whitewhisker was hard of hearing and was scared out of his mind from the recent earth shaking. Mottlestar was saying something about 4trees so when he saw Thistlemask and an apprentice going that way, well he was right behind them moving as quickly as an elder does.
He was pretty sure this is what he was supposed to be doing but mainly he was just following whatever crowd there was. He was scared taht his clan would forget him and leave him behind. He supposed that was fair, it wasnt like he had any family or friends left, he had outlived them all in his long age.
He stumbled along doing his best to try and keep up with the deputy and apprentice but quickly was falling behind them

【Briarrose】
❒ She was almost there! She could hear the small, frightened cries of the kittens and the alarm in the voices of the queens. However, she stopped at a familiar voice. She glanced around her shoulder at the younger cat hurrying over to her. "Crimsonpaw?" Her worried eyes searched him over for any visible injuries, relaxing a bit when she found nothing. She locked her eyes with him and nodded curtly. "Come, then. Let us evacuate the nursery. We must keep the kits and queens as safe as possible."
❒ However, before either could get a move on, a small cry from near the brambles of the nursery caught her attention. That sounded like- Briarrose looked sharply in the direction of the sound. Echokit! But, where was Comfreyheart? She glanced around to the clearing before turning back. There was no sign of the she-cat that had taken Echokit in. She frowned but pushed that thought away for the moment. She'll help Comfrey in keeping Echo safe. She gestured to Crimsonpaw to make a detour with her. They needed to save the kit!
❒ "Echokit!" she called out as she finally spotted the soft kitten being thrown around in the brambles. She made a dash for him and snatched him by the scruff. She then quickly handed him to Crimsonpaw. "Are you okay, dear? Did you get hurt in there?" she questioned with worry as she inspected the light-furred tom-kit. She gave him a few quick licks to comfort him before addressing Crimsonpaw, "Let us hurry to the nursery. Keep Echokit safe. I do not know where Comfreyheart is at the moment." Faintly, she heard her mother order others to help with the nursery and relief flooded the young warrior. The more paws, the better.
❒ Briar turned back and led the way into the nursery, claws still gripping the earth below. She was immediately faced with a gaggle of frightened kits and worried queens. She schooled her expression and said, "Listen! Queens! Gather up your kits—take a moment to count them if you have to—and keep them together. The clan will help you with taking them all to safety. If you believe someone is missing, do not panic. The other warriors are on their way. Keep as calm as you can. Remember to stay low to the ground and dig your claws into the ground to keep your balance." With the queens all somewhat reassured, her eyes began to survey all the faces she could see. She quickly noticed a scared Acornkit trying to hunch into herself, holding onto the ground for dear life. "Acornkit!"
❒ The tortoiseshell molly rushed over to the she-kit and bent down lowly for a moment. "I am here, Acornkit," she soothed while giving her a few reassuring licks, "Everything will be alright. Look, Crimsonpaw has Echokit safe. You will also be safe soon." She gently grabbed the she-kit by her scruff before turning back to the apprentice behind her. She nodded to him and had him leave through the entrance first. The others will be there soon. They'll make sure everyone else is safe.

Soon enough, the shaking of the ground had stopped - but it did little to quell the fitful shakes that had overwhelmed Acornkit as she curled in on herself, throwing her paws over her head now that she didn't have to cling to the ground. Panic and fear threatened to overwhelm the kit for the first time in her life, causing fearful sobs to rip through her throat as she tried to hold them back. She could hear voices - some familiar, some not but it was hard to focus on them... Until one close to her called her name and she peaked out from beneath her paws.
"B-Briarrose!" she sobbed, scrambling to get her paws beneath her as she pressed herself against the comforting warmth of Briarrose's licks. Relief flooded through her as the warrior confirmed that Echokit was alright and that she would be alright - allowing her tears to finally fall free as she let out a hiccup between the sobs. "W-What happened? Why was everything so scary?," she questioned as the she-cat picked her up, before her eyes widen as she realized the warrior was carrying her towards the nursery entrance. "...W-Where are we going?" W-Was the camp not safe? But the camp had always been safe! She was always told the outside world was dangerous for kits! She... She curled in on herself, trying to make herself as small as she could as she swung in Briarrose's grip, a whimper escaping her as she struggled to make sense of everything that had shaken her world apart.

He couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief as Briarrose picked him up. He curled his limbs to his body and tried to keep as small as possible. His eyes were wide with fear as he was given to Crimsonpaw, he looked frantically between the entrance to the camp and the entrance to the nursery. Back outside? He whimpered at the thought of going back out into the forest where he came from. Echokit tried to stop himself from trembling, "Okay, dear. Not hurt, dear." he whispered unsure if he was soothing Briarrose or himself.
The relief filled him as he saw Acornkit in Brairrose's jaws. His friend was safe. They would be safe. With Acornkit safe his only worry now was his surrogate mother, "We need to find Comfreyheart, Comfreyheart, Comfreyheart...." he spoke her name like a mantra. If he said her name maybe she would appear. Yeah! Starclan would look out for her. He had doubts about these cats in the sky but there was no doubt in his mind that right now, they would look out for her. The kitten shut his eyes as tight as they would go and sent a silent prayer to Starclan.

Fawnshine
"We need to get to Fourtrees, as soon as possible. The other medicine cats should be urging their clan to do the same." Fawnshine bit her inner cheek, scanning the camp for Comfreyheart yet again — yet to her disappointment, still, she wasn't there. "Comfreyheart isn't here. I know it's selfish of me to be thinking about her when everyone else needs to evacuate — but she could be outside, anywhere, injured, and for that, I'm incredibly worried. I could only pray one of us will find her as we head out."
Her ears caught a voice of a kit — Acornkit, to be specific, and she approached the kit with a softened expression. "We'll find her, I promise. Comfreyheart will be okay. If anything happens to her, I'll make sure to take care of her well." Fawnshine attempted to make her voice as calm as she could, offering a small smile before turning back to Mottlestar. "The forest isn't going to wait for us to settle down. Let's try to head to Fourtrees as quickly as we can and make sure everyone is safe. If there's anyone injured, bring them to me."

Crimsonpaw felt relived when Briarrose agreed to let him help her. As they were about to enter the den, the warrior noticed a kit outside of the nursery. He followed her to the helpless kit. Wait- wasn't that Echokit? Where was Comfreyheart? He looked around the camp again and noticed that he didn't see her anywhere. Oh no. She must be out of camp! I hope she's okay... Crimsonpaw was worried for his mentor, but as much as he wanted to run off and find her, helping Briarrorose and these kits was a higher priority at the moment. Besides, some of his Clanmates had already left to go to Fourtrees, maybe they would find her!
Crimsonpaw was slightly startled when Briarrose handed Echokit to him. "Oh- Okay. I-I can keep him safe." Carful to keep the kit clear of his claws, he gingerly picked him up by the scruff. He heard Mottlestar ask the apprentices to help the elders, but he was already helping Briarrose with the kits. After only a moment of hesitation Crimsonpaw followed the she-cat into the nursery. He was sure it was okay for him to keep helping the kits with Briarrose. As soon as they were inside she went strait to work calming the kits and queens, directing them out of the den. He walked out of the den first as she gestured for him to do. Once Crimsonpaw got out he stood awkwardly near the entrance of the den, unsure of what to do or where to go next. He had never been to Fourtrees before and had no idea how to get there, so he waited for Briarrorse to come out with the rest of the kits and queens. Even if he did know the way to Fourtrees, he wasn't going to leave her!

Everything seemed to settle down for a moment.. at least for now. Starlingflare stayed close to the ground for a moment longer, trying to get his head to stop spinning. Words were fading in and out. Going in one ear and out the other. It seemed calls were being made, trying to find everyone that wasn't in camp.
The silver tom eventually straightened up, finally able to collect himself fully. The single eyed tom approached Fawnshine and Mottlestar. "I can go look for her." The tom offered. He didn't want anyone to get left behind, and the leadership needed to guide the clan to the fourtrees. The tom just hoped they would find the missing she-cat in one piece.
The molly woke to the taste of blood and searing pain, but at least she wasn’t alone anymore. In the few moments of conscience she gained Comfreyheart could tell someone was carrying her. Though weak and suffering a rattling headache, she stayed awake long enough to see who it was. “Hank…” she muttered. Thank Starclan he found her. Comfreyheart knew what had happened, just not how bad. Luckily (or unluckily) the feeling in her leg soon educated her of her situation. She hoped the next time she opened her eyes she’d be in her sister’s den, but the direction Moosepaw was headed told her otherwise. Fourtrees? If given more time to think, the molly could deduce camp was too dangerous to stay in, and she’d panic at the thought of Echokit being left behind or injured, but Comfreyheart had already fallen back into unconsciousness. Hopefully Fawnshine would find her soon. [✿]

【Briarrose】
❒ Briar's eyes softened and her heart clenched at Acornkit's sobs and Echokit's worries. "Nobody knows why this is happening but I can assure you that everyone is doing their best to keep each other safe," she explained as clearly as she could with Acorn hanging carefully from her jaws. She eyed Crimsonpaw and nodded in thanks before quickly answering the she-kit's other question, "Fourtrees. We are heading to Fourtrees. It is where all five clans gather every full moon to share clan news and meet others. However, it will be our sanctuary for now."
❒ Her attention was soon captured by Fawnshine. The young warrior shot the older molly a grateful look as she reassured Echokit that Comfreyheart will be fine. "You will see her soon, Echokit. We will all meet up at Fourtrees so have faith." It came out just as muffled but she hoped he understood her enough. With that, Briarrose signaled to Crimsonpaw to follow her out of the camp. They needed to take the kits to safety as soon as possible. She'll only feel better once her whole clan was at the Gathering place but evacuations like this take caution and time. She just hoped it wouldn't take too long. She glanced at Echokit from her peripheral vision before looking forward again. She also hoped Comfreyheart would be alright, wherever she was. For the sake of the clan, especially Echokit. He needed her.
