The sun had set some time ago, which meant it was the perfect time to sneak out of camp. Most of her clanmates were settling in to sleep the night away, not Silverwing. She had an unresolved question, and the only way she could find an answer at this point was to figure it out herself. No one knew of her plan, and if she was sneaky enough, it would stay that way. Silverwing had been patiently waiting at the Thunderpath, keeping an eye out for any monsters. With none in sight, and presumably none to come, she began walking across the path. If anyone deserved this, it was Shadowclan, or more accurately Nightstar. Tentatively, she placed a single paw over the Shadowclan border. For the first time since she had conceived of this plan, a thought crossed her mind. Was this going too far? Nightstar was an ugly, hateful cat, but this was still an intrusion. There wasn't time to turn back however. The roar of a monster sounded, and Silverwing found herself taking the final steps into Shadowclan territory.

Harechaser had taken the opportunity of a border patrol to get out of camp early, her sleep during the day had been restless and she found that going for a walk helped a bit with the nagging feeling of anxiety in her stomach. She'd been careful to avoid the medicine den - Roseburn specifically - and the feelings of guilt and shame that argument had caused still lingered. Avoiding her wasn't going to make it any better, of course, but trying to work things out, Harechaser feared, would only make things worse.

The stench of the thunderpath ahead made her nose wrinkle, the loud roar of a monster running past sending a shiver down her spine. She didn't like the thunderpath, but for the most part, it was a good deterrent to other cats crossing into Shadowclan territory. So she patrolled the border just as she would any other, and kept the distaste she felt to herself.

Only, the thunderpath hadn't seemed to deter someone from crossing over this time. The scent of Windclan was far too strong, far too fresh, for it to be coming from across the thunderpath. Pawsteps quickening, Harechaser broke through the line of trees, spotting a slivery she-cat not far ahead of her.

"Hey!" She called out, padding towards the she-cat reeking of Windclan, "Get back to your own territory! You're trespassing!" Her lip curled in the beginning of a snarl, claws unsheathing.

Silverwing stared out at the monster as it disappeared. She wouldn't have gone through with this, she would have turned back and she was sure of that. Maybe the monster was a sign of sorts, that had to be it. "Well I'm here now, guess I have no choice." A voice sounded behind her, and Silverwing almost jumped out of her skin. A sign indeed, she was sure that sign was telling her something along the lines of "stop messing with Shadowclan". The snarl came, and she was sure that a backfull of claws was soon to follow. Bad, this is really bad. You have to counter her, then run! The cat was close now, she would seize this chance! Whirling on the Shadowclan cat, Silverwing swiped her paw at the warrior's face, keeping her claws sheathed as she did. She didn't want to hurt whoever it was, just create an opening for herself. Still, she couldn't help but say "Sorry!" as she did.

Harechaser winced at the sting of a paw smacking her, "Sorry? You're the one attacking me!" Harechaser sputtered, unable to believe the gall of the Windclanner. She hadn't wanted a fight when she left camp, for Starclan's sake, but she would defend herself all the same. The ground on this side of the thunderpath was muddy as ever. She'd teach the trespasser a lesson in staying on her own side of the border. Digging her heels in, Harechaser lifted one front paw sharply upward, flinging a sizable amount of mud at the Windclanner's face. Some of that in her eyes ought to do the trick and give her the upper paw here.

Harechaser used Mud Slap for -10 sp, dealing -7 damage. Silverwing is stunned for one turn.

"Yeah, but I didn't use claws, it was just a love tap!" Silverwing took a few hesitant steps toward the Thunderpath, not turning her back on the Shadowclan warrior. They had given her the chance to escape once before, perhaps she should have just taken that at face value and accepted to request. She had just assumed that since Nightstar was clearly evil, all of his clan would be too. "It means we're friends, so I'll just be going back to my side of the border, then we can meet at a gathering and laugh about all of this." That sounded like a dream, even to her. Silverwing had trespassed on another clan's territory, and attacked another cat. The potential consequences for her actions were finally dawning on Silverwing, and she already didn't want to think about them. Luckily enough for her, she had something else to worry about. Silverwing let out a yelp as the mud made contact. Her eyes burned with pain as she shook her head frantically, trying to throw off as much mud as possible. "Ah, that's just... Why would you do that?!" Evil! She was right, all of them were evil! Without the use of her vision, Silverwing tried to retreat across the Thunderpath, her paws only meeting more and more mud.

'Invasion Dice' :

"Then keep your paws to yourself." Harechaser hissed, annoyed by the audacity of the she-cat. The mud to the eyes had certainly done the trick. "What's wrong? Does the mud sting? Can't see? Perhaps you should have kept to your side of the border." Harechaser growled. "Learn your lesson and go home, Windclanner." She added. She would follow this one just far enough to make sure she stayed on the other side of the thunderpath, and no farther.

Harechaser did not attack this turn. Silverwing is no longer stunned.

"It's mud, of course it stings!" Though her vision still blurred, Silverwing could make out the Thunderpath. It was farther away than she had thought. Still, this evil cat was giving her another chance to escape, and she would take it. Silverwing made for her side of the border, turning back once she had made it safely across. "Evil cat, evil." To really drive home how much she believed in her declaration, Silverwing stuck her tongue out at the Shadowclan cat. She was already in trouble, it's not like this would get her any deeper.

"Yes, that happens when things get into your eyes." Harechaser muttered, "Keep moving, Windclanner. Go home, I'm sure you can find a medicine cat to help clean you up if water doesn't take the sting out." She mewed, padding after her. She had no intention of fighting more, only seeing that this wayward she-cat made it across the border. Evil? She was evil for that? Harechaser let out a snort. "Go on, then. I'm sure your clan would love to hear about the evil Shadowclanner." She scoffed, tail tip twitching.
