First steps [closed]

Smallbean's gaze darted back and forth between the fox beneath him and Silverwing, who was attempting to get pack on her paws. Based on her reaction to the pressure, her leg was worse than he thought. "Nevermind, rest your leg! I'll take care of the fox." At least, he hoped he would. The fox seemed to be getting weaker, and he hadn't been hurt yet, although that could change within a heartbeat. It's thrashing grew more violent by the second. Continuing to lash at the fox, he put more pressure on it's back to keep it from escaping.


Smallbean continued to use Leap-And-Hold on Fox, dealing 10 HP and costing 15 SP. Fox is pinned for 1 more turn!

Rest her leg? How was she supposed to do that? Silverwing was sure that any movement might send more pain her way. It was very awkward, but she stood as still as possible, trying to keep her leg from touching anything. She wanted to be back in the camp, laying down in the medicine den while being given something to take away this cursed pain. Hopefully Smallbean would hurry up and finish the fox off.

With his hold beginning to loosen, Smallbean leaped off of the fox before it ended up flinging him instead, making sure his back claws dug left a mark. Now the fox stood in front of him, battered and bloody, very clearly weakened. The deputy dropped to a fighting stance, ready to dodge whatever attack may be coming. To his surprise, instead of lunging at him with snapping teeth, the fox turned tail and fled... But not before Smallbean had a chance to sink his claws into it one last time. Sprinting after it, he leaped forward dragging his claws along it's flank before letting go. The fox continued to run until it was out of sight. Hopefully wouldn't live much longer.

Returning to Silverwing, Smallbean studied her leg, his expression hiding none of his thoughts. It was bad. Not so bad that it was beyond repair, but bad enough that Silverwing would definitely be in the medicine den for at least a few days. It looked broken. "Let's... Let's just get you back to camp. You need to get your leg treated." Before he began to help Silverwing back to camp, though, he looked around the area, finding a few cobwebs between two stalks. He grabbed them and gently applied them to Silverwing's leg in an attempt to stop at least some of the bleeding. "Alright... Let's go." He said, standing awkwardly by her side for her to lean on.

Fox has fled!

It was incredibly hard to stay focused on the fight, but she was sure of one thing, the fox was gone. Silverwing would have appreciated the death of that foul beast greatly, but if it meant that they could finally head back to camp then she would let it go. For now. Smallbean's reaction to her leg left Silverwing with an odd heat, one that usually denoted bad news. Stars it felt impossible to speak, did she have a boulder in her throat? She couldn't ask him if she was gonna be fine, her leg felt bad enough that she might already know the answer to that, especially with all the blood that she had left behind. If she was going to become an invalid because of that stupid fox... Well, she didn't know what she would do. Cry most likely, get kicked out of Windclan, cry again? Silverwing leaned on Smallbean, very... You could only really describe this as awkward really. He wasn't too much smaller than her, but she still had to angle herself in an odd fashion to avoid her leg hitting the ground.
