Coyotegrin felt weird walking the moor this time, yet giddy. Her First Renewed Tunnelers trailed behind her and she felt like it was just right. All in all, she was thankful Shrikestar still recognized her potential and gave her this massive project to undertake. She glanced to her side and internally groaned. Batsong. It was only reluctantly and out of necessity that she was here; brought along in the fear that if she was not present, StarClan would not speak to them. As their prophet, their connection to StarClan, she was a throat full of bile to swallow down in order to get the task done. They were only about halfway through their trip on the moor to Highstones, and already Coyotegrin was anxious to get away from her. It was already nerve-wracking enough to have to go to speak to StarClan, but now she also had to walk along Batsong to do it.
The quiet in the group was too much, so she slowed down to break the lead and walk next to Whisperear. "Going to StarClan for answers was a great idea. I had pondered it myself, but blew it off thinking it was outrageous. Must have been fate when you brought it up too." Of course, she had to look up when she spoke, due to Whisperear's long and lanky legs. But, she was used it and her paws stayed ever silent on the soft path of the grass.
Blazefang was nothing short of jittery. Partly with anticipation, but also fear. She couldn’t stop thinking, what if? What if StarClan denied her the privilege of tunneling because of her relationship with Dayquill? Worse, what if they told Batsong or Coyotegrin? The ginger’s heart pounded in her chest as she walked with the other First Tunnelers.

Adderdawn
Adderdawn had been nothing short of shocked when Coyotegrin pulled him from the spot where he'd fallen asleep. She'd said something about the tunnelers, and StarClan, but the most important words were lost between his sleep-addled mind. Even if he wasn't quite sure what was happening, he scrambled to his paws quickly, following along with the rest of the group as they slowly filtered out of camp. His head had finally cleared once they were out in the territory, and he had enough consciousness to realize that they were making the trek to the Moonstone. The first of the tunnelers, and he'd been brought with them. It sent a little thrill through him-- the tunnels were no secret to him, and he'd expected to find his way to them at some point with Coyotegrin as his mentor. But to be the first of them... Adderdawn shook his head, refocusing, and padded quietly along.

Batsong had agreed to go on this. Getting advise from starclan was a great idea in her opinion and she was glad that the tunnel project would be running it by their ancestors for approval. Now, Batsong and Coyotegrin had never gotten along the best but she was glad enough that she had agreed to talk to starclan in the first place and to have Batsong join them in their journey.
All this being said: Batsong was still not a big fan of the idea of the tunnels to begin with. That got even worse with Mallardduck's death, she found that she was half hoping that starclan would tell them it was a terrible idea and that they should never step paw into the tunnels again.
How could she protect her clanmates from a cave in or who knows what other dangers might be in there. However, if starclan gave the go ahead... well she would do her best to support the effort. Despite Coyotegrin and her differences they both wanted what was best for the clan. She walked along on the other side of whisperear but stayed more quiet. hmm so Whisper had the idea of going to ask the stars? Good for them. She hoped that the ancestors would be willing to at least discuss it.
She was not sure why Whisper had signed up for the tunnels, she had to look up whenever she spoke to him as well. She was average windclan size (So smaller than the other clans but not as small as smallbean or coyote) and whisper was a giant to all of them... how would they not hit they head on all the low passages and winding tight turns down there was a mystery to her. She felt cramped when even looking at the things yet alone trying to go into them... you wouldnt catch her dead going into those tunnels noooopppeeee that was not for her.
Despite being albeit a bit confused for as to why they decided to join and and despite her being generally opposed to the idea, she would do her best to support their decision, they were a full grown warrior adult now and capable of making their own choices.
The moonstone entrance was just beginning to come into sight and she grinned a bit. This would be an interesting meeting regardless of the outcome.

Whispearear’s expression was calm as always, but inside, they were jittery and excited for what was to come. They were finally on their way to ask StarClan for guidance. They were glad that Coyotegrin liked their suggestion. There was still apprehension in WindClan due to the death of Mallardduck, but they hoped that Coyotegrin addressing it helped. Regarding everything else…well, Whisperear was doing their best to move past it. Thankfully, it seemed that everyone else was too.
They looked to Coyotegrin and smiled. “I’m glad that you also had the same idea. It would be better to learn from our ancestors than try and fail in ways they already had. This will be a good experience for all of us, I think.” They looked back towards Blazefang and Adderdawn, and even Batsong who had remained quiet through the travel. They knew that she was on edge about the entire idea, but the tunnels were an important part of their clan. It would be a waste not to fix them up. “StarClan will guide us in any way they see fit.” They looked forward as they ascended the Highstones. It was nearly time, and that made their heartrate state to pick up in anticipation.
Coyoyegrin gave a nod towards Whisperear, but their journey was almost over. The group neared the trail that would lead to the Moonstone. As the crowd of cats bunched around her as they quickly caught up, Coyotegrin paused. She looked over them with an unreadable expression. Tonight would be the time that they would find out if what they were doing was right. "Thank you all for agreeing to join me on this important task. The safety and prosperity of WindClan lies on your shoulders, and that is a difficult thing to carry. I have no doubt that all of you can. Tonight, we find out if StarClan will give us any guidance on this matter and education for us to use. Batsong will lead us to the Moonstone, and I am sure we all remembered how we visited StarClan before our warrior ceremonies. Let's not waste any more time and head on up." Her eyes swept to Batsong as she flicked her tail to motion her to leave the way. Not only will hopefully StarClan give them knowledge, but hopefully they'd shut Batsong up for good about the tunnels. She was tired of the medicine cat acting like Daisypaw was her sister and she was there to watch it happen. If Coyotegrin, the actual sister and victim of the tragedy, could get over it, so could Batsong. And Mallardduck? His death was his fault.
Blazefang nodded, striding with some hesitancy into the cavern. Last time she was here, she’d spoken to Specklepaw, but she doubted it would be her tonight. After all, this was about the tunnels, an area her friend had no experience in. The ginger waited for Batsong before touching her nose to the stone.
Batsong looked to each of the traveling companions that she was with. They were all very brave in her mind to agree to sign up and be tunnel explorers. Even if she could not understand the allure for doing such a thing, she could still respect the dedication and courage it took to go down there.
As much as she hoped the ancestors they were about to speak with would advise against the continued use of the tunnels she did her best to keep an open mindset. After all if Starclan said it was a go, there was not much she could do to stop it then, especially since Coyote had already pushed for it very hard despite the med cats caution and disliking. She didnt like the tunnels because of the past clanmates that had died down there... Her job as med cat was to protect these warriors and she couldnt do that if they were flattened by the earth itself. In her mind, the tunnels risks didnt outweigh the rewards. It was a ... unique... postition she was in. She herself personally was strongly against all of this, but as med cat she was also supposed to be the connection from Windclan to starclan as well so it was also her job to ask the stars if the tunnels were an acceptable way forward. If they said yes... ugh well not much she could do at that point.
She stopped beside the moonstone next to Blazefang. "Starclan, we come before you tonight in search of guidance. To know if the tunnels that our clan used so long ago are once again safe for further exploration and use. Each of the warriors here with me now are loyal to their clan and are willing to work to fix the tunnels under the command of Coyotegrin if you grant us your go ahead with it."
She signaled that it was time to the patrol as she sat down next to Blazefang already by the stone.
The moonstone was plenty large enough that everyone could have their own spot and be plenty comfortable. Batsong closed her eyes took a deep breath and touched her nose to the stone, all to familiar to her....
(OOC: I thinkkk that someone playing a starclan cat will like come post here idk who that is yet so yeaa we will try and figure that out soon)
