Mother, Daughter time [closed]

It was early morning, before the sun was up.


Daisybreeze awoke from another terrible nights sleep. It had been one full of waking up in nightmares. The image of her brothers limp body being in the middle of camp haunted her. The wounds he had all over his still body and how he lay there unnaturally. She shivered in her nest and got to her paws feeling very sick to her stomach. She went out walking on her tips of paws so as not to wake her clanmates in the warrior den.

She went quietly to the apprentice den and looked in at the now empty nest that used to be her brothers. It was no longer maintained and it was sprawled out from not being used anymore. She went to it slowly and kneeled down by it. It still had the faintest scent of him but it was fading fast soon it too would be gone and be just a memory. She felt hollow inside. Why did he have to die? She should have been with him. They could have taken the fox together. Where had she been?? She had been sleeping in that day and if she had woken up earlier maybe she could have changed it all. Stumbling backwards out of the apprentice den she felt tears running down her face. She couldnt be around his nest anymore or she would just lose it all. She already felt like she was constantly on the edge of breaking down. She did her warrior tasks daily but the toll was heavy and after each day she felt more and more alone. He and her were supposed to be warriors together, supposed to hunt and fight together by each others sides. She remembered all the times they would compete together. Now she would never get to see or be with him again.

She saw a figure out of the corner of her eye and spun quickly jumping slightly. Her fur along her back raised in a fright.

She quickly relaxed seeing who it was. It was her mom who looked just like her. She couldn't sleep either?

She felt frozen in place for a little bit. After a couple long moments she slowly went to her. Daisybreeze could not hide the tears streaming down her face even if she wanted to. She sat next to her mother slowly Its not fair.. she meowed shakily

He left us too soon she wailed.

She was aware how many close family members and friends her mother had lost throguthout her time in this clan. She leaned against Coyotegrin a little bit nuzzling into her like she was still a kit.... what she would give to go back to being a kit and getting to have golden and quickkit with them again. All curled up together with mom and dad right there. Now she was the only one left and there was no going back

Im not gonna leave you too mom ... I promise she said through sobs sides heaving.
