From the shadows of the nursery, Frogkit's bright yellow eyes were the only feature one could see from outside the den, her dark fur enveloped in the dimmed light. That spot had grown to be her favorite, a place where she could easily observe everything going on outside from the safety of the nursery. The little kit simply watched in silence, listening to everything. She wanted to know more, but she had constructed several scenarios in her mind. What if one of the big warriors sees me? What if they say something and I don't know what to answer? Frogkit could just picture herself in front of the imaginary cat, still as she had been when she was born. So still that she looked like she wasn't breathing. Like her mum.

Shaking away her bad memories, the sound of pawsteps alerted her of another cat approaching. Hide! Instinctively she closed her eyes and held her breath.

Silverkit grew bored of the moss clump that she had been batting around. She had taken the moss ball to the center of camp in hopes of attracting a playmate, whoever it may have been. Finding no such luck Silverkit batted the moss one last time before sitting down in a huff. Deciding that she needed to go on the offensive, Silverkit looked around the camp for any cat that would want to play with her. As she looked past the nursery, the young kit couldn't help but notice two small yellow discs peering out from the nursery. Heart racing with the excitement of having something to do, Silverkit bounded up to the nursery, tail raised high. Upon entering however, she failed to locate the small yellow objects. "Where did they go?" the kit thought aloud. Though disappointment laced her words, Silverkit couldn't help but feel exhilarated by the potential mystery that the two objects held. Looking around the dimly lit nursery, Silverkit spotted a lump of... something? Was that there before? she thought. The lump didn't move, but seemed too oddly colored to be moss. Silverkit padded over to the lump, leaning down and giving it a sniff. "Definitely not moss," she snorted, poking the strange lump with one of her paws.

Batsong sat a distance away. She was sorry that she couldnt have saved Frogkit's mother but the kit so far seemed very healthy. She watched a silvery kitten go in and investigate where she had last seen frogkit.

The medicine cat smiled a little to herself. At least she could maybe meet some friends if nothing else.

She sat wrapping her tail around her front paws watching curiously from a distance, she was pretty reserved and didnt talk much unless she got to know them.



She eventually walked over slowly to check on them both and see if they were both well and continuing to be healthy.

"H-h...hello k-kits" she stuttered.

"My n-name is Batsong and I am the c-clan medicne cat... h-how are you two feeling?" she asked them. Is your mouth okay? she asked wondering if either of them had started teething yet and if they needed anything for that
