Thornpaw could see how weak the eagle was getting. Maybe one or two more blows and it would be down for the count. Maybe she could even finish it off with her next hit. She had something to prove after all, at least she felt like she did. Quickly the pale apprentice snapped down on a more fleshy part of the eagle, trying to deal as much damage as possible.

"Well done, Thornpaw." Wolfblossom praised as the eagle fell limp. "Suppose I should've started with a sparring lesson before hunting. Should've known we'd be interrupted like that with my luck." She chuckled, checking Thornpaw's pelt for signs of injury. She seemed to be physically fine, but with the two now smelling like blood and dead eagle, their hunting was likely done for the day. "We can take it back to camp along with our prey, the usable feathers will make for nice nesting material."
