Lost and Found [Solo]

It was not often Rosepaw went out on her own. In fact, this might have been the first. But honestly? She didn't feel like being around camp. And she didn't want to hang around her Clanmates. She just wanted to be alone. No jokes or pranks. Just her own thoughts. She had a lot of them to sort out.

She knew death was something that happened. She lost her mother before she had a chance to know her. Fawnpatch had died. And so many other cats.

But this was different. This was her father. One of the cats that had raised her. Someone that, as much of a pain she could be, always stood by her side. And he was gone.

She couldn't help but look up at the night sky as she thought of him. She was always told stories of StarClan, and cats said Batglow would be there now. It was funny, she literally saw ghost cats, and she still couldn't bring herself to believe it. After all, they said her mom was going to one day magically come back alive, too. And that only led to disappointment. She refused to let that happen again.

The scent of rabbit wafted by, a welcome distraction, and Rosepaw immediately made her way towards the source, seeing the creature nibbling on a dandelion. But at the same time, it had seemed to notice her, and immediately darted away.
