Ashstorm made her way towards Tallbranch. The day had a nice wind blowing, which made Ashstorm's long fur blow. She walked around the camp and then scaled the tree. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather at Tallbranch for a clan meeting, please!" She called out to the camp.

Beechfang had known what was coming when her sister called the clan meeting. She was glad to see her kits becoming apprentices at last, and even happier that she didn't have to pretend to be the mildly-interested aunt to her own kits' ceremonies as she had done as a medicine cat. She gave Fogkit's pelt a few final licks as she shepherded him towards the tallbranch, and while she sat quietly, it was obvious that she took pride in her kits leaving the nursery. She worried for them too, but it didn't show on her face.
