Pinekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstorm was so relieved recently.  Everything seemed to be going back in place.  Bloodstar was back, the Dark Forest cats left.  Everything was a lot calmer now. Well, as calm as Skyclan could be.  The grey she-cat made her way to Tallbranch and climbed up the tree.  She looked out at the cats in the clan.

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather for a clan meeting, please!" She called.

Pinekit strolled to the clearing, pelt blazing in the newleaf sun.

Intense green eyes scanned around him, looking for the subject of this meeting. He hoped silently that Beechfang didn’t rat him out to Bloodstar for leaving camp.

The tom was seated like a statue, chest up.

Ashstorm waited for the kit to come to the gathering.  "Pinekit, please step forward."

She paused a moment, giving the kit a chance to step forward.  "You have reached the age of six moons and are now ready to become an apprentice.  From today until the day you finish your training and have your warrior ceremony, you will be known as Pinepaw.  Your mentor will be me."

With that, Ashstorm hopped down from Tallbranch and touched noses with the newly named apprentice.  "Congratulations!"  She exclaimed cheerfully and smiled.  "We will start training tomorrow.  For now, I suggest you go celebrate."

His mentor would be the deputy?

Pinepaw smiled. He would be the best warrior in all of SkyClan, especially with Ashstorm as his mentor.

“See you then.”

He stood up, lightning in his eyes. Pinepaw glistened in the sun; he glowed, the smile never leaving his face.

He was now Pinepaw, and he had every intent of making himself into a fine warrior.
