Leopardsun sighed, the rush of adrenaline that had carried her through the night fading fast. The sun was starting to rise, slow but certain, over the horizon. She brushed aside some of the ashes that remained in ShadowClan's camp with one paw, then pulled herself to her feet.

She had sat and stewed in her anger and her misery long enough, at least for the moment. There was something she needed to do. She wanted to cry, to scream at the stars, to curl into herself and never stand up again. But she couldn't do any of that until she dealt with this.
