'Being accepted will take time.' she'd been told. Well, plenty of time had passed and still, she found herself not particularly close to anyone outside her family. The past moon had been a cycle of hunting and resting, helping out where she was wanted. Feeling secluded, Flurrypaw now one of the older apprentices in the den, waited outside the apprentices' den for an opportunity to chat with someone and perhaps make an acquaintance. Come on, Flurry. Just give it another go and maybe it'll work this time.

Dovefrost had emerged from the medicine den, ready to take a short stroll around the territory to check on herbs when he noticed the lone apprentice sitting just outside the apprentices' den. The large white tom blinked at her appearance before deciding to approach, he knew it must have been tough on the younger ones to suddenly change clans like they did, and he knew he didn't exactly offer them much kindness at the start, more of an indifference. Maybe he could change that now.

"Everything okay Flurrypaw?" He asked as he approached the younger cat.

Softfall sat a ways away glancing at the apprentice. He didnt glare or look rudely ... he was more than anything curious right now... could she be trusted was the only thing he really cared about.

Hmm anyone born riverclan was automatically a bit suspicious... but she hadnt done anything yet to make him question anything solidly. He would keep his eye on her though... one mistep or anything of the sort ... He would be extra careful that she was not getting too close to any Riverclan cats during any gatherings... she might be persuaded to betray thunderclan.

A rustle of leaves and the medicine cat's white pelt made an appearance. To her surprise, Dovefrost was walking toward her. Doing her best to give him a somewhat friendly nod, she genuinely smiled when his question showed a little concern. "Yeah, everything's fine!" she mewed in response, tone a little cheerier than she was used to. Um quick- continue the conversation... medicine cat stuff maybe. "...any luck communicating with Starclan?" Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a certain grey tom watching her rather intently. Glancing back at him for a brief moment with her bright yellow gaze, she decided she'd talk to him next. Interesting fellow...

Dovefrost let out a small sigh, not exactly the conversation he was expecting out of an apprentice, but at the same time it would make sense. After all he was trying to retain the tradition of Moonstones with the apprentices still, even if didn't work. Word had probably spread about the free night of rest he offered to all of them. "Not going well, but I will keep trying. They will reach out eventually. They always do." He said to her, trying to remain positive despite the situation.

Green eyes glanced up when Flurrypaw did. "Softfall?" The tom said. "Would you like to join us?" He asked, hoping the other tom would. The medicine cat wasn't exactly the best with conversations.

Softfall rose and walked over to the pair eyes unblinking as he continued to look at Flurrypaw curiously . "Sure, Thanks Dovefrost"

Sitting down next to them he sighed looking up at the starless sky.

"I'm not surprised you have had no luck" he said quietly not wanting their ... guests to overhear what all they were up to. He said to Dovefrost

"I suppose its times like this that truly test ones loyalty" he added on glancing back and forth between the two...

Although on the surface it appeared that he was talking about loyalty to starclan there was a deeper more subtle meaning behind this as well as was often the case with Softfall.

He gave a glance at Flurrypaw. "What is it you think about loyalty Flurrypaw?" he questioned the riverclan born apprentice.

"Do you think we should remain loyal to starclan after they seem to have left us?" he asked directing it toward Flurrypaw.

again on the surface he spoke about starclan but what the question was really getting at had nothing to do with the dark forest or of starclan at all.

Softfall had no use for the dark forest cats. What they did to Thrush made him very angry... no one killed a Thunderclan cat and got away from it without making him angry. He did not like having them around particularly for this reason... Morningstar really did confuse him... one day he gave them Skyclan land and the next he was killing one of their elder warriors... He was too unpredictable for Softfall to really want to align with even if he had at one point wanted to help thunderclan becase that is where his kits were.
