Practice makes Perfect

Swiftheart walked to one of the training areas nearby camp in shadowclan territory, Deerleap had asked them to meet up here earlier and Swiftheart was always happy to hang out with her and spend time together.  She sat down waiting for her, her mind wondered pretty quickly as she looked around thinking about all sorts of different things. She was not really focused on the present.

Deerleap watched from behind a bramble thicket as Swiftheart entered the clearing. she waited until the warrior let her guard down then softly snuck up behind the white she-cat.

"Surprise attack!" she yowled as she leaped at Swiftheart, sending the she-cat sprawling over.

Deerleap used Jumping Strike, dealing 7 (+3+1) damage and -7SP

Swiftheart was completely unprepared and the surprise attack was very effective as she crashed into her.

Swiftheart scrambled to her paws and looked at deerleap in suprise. Then she narrowed her eyes and grinned at her previous apprentice. "Oh bring it on!" she meowed grinning happy to get some practice in.

She ran past Deerleaps flank and quickly grabbed her tail and pulled it sending Deerleap tumbling backwards.

Swiftheart used Tail Yank for 15 sp and 8 dmg (+1 Night time) 9 dmg

she purred softly "Dont think that just because you were my apprentice I will go easy on you"

Deerleap felt Swiftheart's fur brush past and teeth clamp on her jaws. she scrambled back to her paws quickly, thanks to the adrenaline rushing through her veins. she whipped around and slashed the white she-cat's muzzle.

Deerleap was doing well so far she thought to herself but she would not let her win she thought grinning as she smacked back at her

Deerleap felt her former mentor's paws graze her pelt. she pretended to fall at the warrior's paws, waiting until Swiftheart padded closer than lasing out with all four paws.

Swiftheart was smacked by Deerleap's paws and she decided to try and take the higher ground, she quickly ran up and leapt down onto Deerleap to pin her opponent to the ground.

Deerleap felt the white she-cat leap onto her, and her legs buckled under the weight of the warrior. "How much have you eaten lately? you're even heavier than when I was an apprentice!" she huffed, her eyes glimmering playfully. she didn't even try to squirm out of the warrior's grasp. looks like this round would have to go to Swiftheart.

Swiftheart giggled at the comment made by Deerleap and got off her and helped her up. "Got you again" she purred giving her a little headbutt playfully. She sat next to her friend grinning "You are getting alot better though, next time I'm sure you will get me" she said encouragingly
