Trying His Best [Open to 1!]

Ares slipped out of his nest that morning with a mission. He wanted to try a tactic, and everything needed an amount of experimentation. After practically coating himself in cold mud to hide his scent, he had set out to hunt on territory that smelled of blood and Shadowclan. They were still trying to recover from his father's raid, he had no doubt of that. Who was to say he couldn't make that a little harder in the process of testing his theory.

It took some time, but he had made it there unscathed, though the mud was hardening and it was certainly uncomfortable. Scenting the air, there was some mouse or rat hiding in the foliage, and he would have it. Of course it ran as soon as it heard him, maybe it was the crunching of the partially frozen mud, or the inexperience of hunting on Shadowclan lands, but it escaped. A growl escaped him as he scented something else. A snake, lousy little thing. It must've snuck up on him. A moment later, it had latched on, teeth sinking into his leg. A surprised yelp escaped him as he saw it latched on, and he shook it a little. Wow, it really wanted to stick to him.

Snake used Gripping Bite, dealing 7 damage and using 15 stamina! It is latched on for 2 turns!

Duskflight cautiously patrolled the territory, even going further enough to reach the Hidden Outcropping. He wanted to be of use to the clan, and he found himself attempting to help on a border patrol or even a hunting one, which would've been best. And so, here he was. The tom looked under the bushes piled with snow, hoping to find scents of prey... Yet instead, his ears swiveled back as soon as a yelp arose from afar. Alerted, he immediately ran towards the source of the sound. His eyes widened, and Murkystar's voice soon echoed out in his head: "—it was a group of rogues." Only that now was only one; but Duskflight was wary of the loner rouge, anyway.

A hiss of the horrendous predator caught him alerted. Snakes?  He'd.. probably never be able to forget their bites— or hiss, at that. He had experienced too many before, but what was he supposed to do now? He couldn't just.. help the rouge. With a deep breath, Duskflight revealed himself out from the foliage of the tall cornfield, leaping to the rouge with outstretched claws. It's a rouge, He reminded himself. "This is ShadowClan's territory, you shouldn't be on here." He'd growl, eyes narrowed to the unfamiliar tom, and hoped that this would just end without too much of a fight. (He doubted it, though). After all, Basilbloom shouldn't be having to treat him again after they've just returned..
